Phenomenal game, but a little hard to get in.
You start on an island and learn the basics there, and then instantly get thrown into the real world, without guidance which unfortunately makes a lot of new players quit.
Once you're in, it is an amazing experience but note that you will die. After your death in certain zones you lose everything you brought out. If you get far enough and reach the black zone, always go with the mindset that once you warp trough the portal and get into a black zone, the gear you're wearing is already lost. So don't bring what you can't afford to lose, and replace a couple of times. Economy is player driven, which makes it a very interesting experience, as you can manipulate the market, trade between cities, and so on.
Solo content exists, and is rewarding, but a guild is a must have. Playing solo can get frustrating as most people run in groups as it's way better to do so.
ZvZ is a huge part of the game, and it really makes albion unique. Fights up to 400 players at once are very hectic, mostly you will just have 1 fps and pray that you are alive. But the small zerg fights, 20v20 up to 40v40 are amazing, you actually matter in those.
If you're not up for huge scale battles, gvg fights are for you. 5v5 competitive fights with the shiniest gear matter a lot as that's how you used to get territories, now it's used for the crystal league, which the final fights can earn you 30m+ silver, a battle mount and a ton of points for your guild.
If none of these options intrigue you, there's a lot more to do, like ganking, hellgates, defending, roaming and so on..

Please give this game a try, you will love it surely if you cut it some slack
