It was a handful of years ago that a friend of mine said "Hey, you know the elder scrolls games? Its Open World RPGs you can go anywhere you like and do whatever you want" At first i thought "Well ok, that sounds fun but really?" Boy was i wrong, So he showed me Morrowind and Oblivion (at the time that Skyrim was unheard of) and they were suprizing good, so i said "hey, i wanna try Oblivion" So i "got the game" and when i first started playing i was mind blown. As i said i knew Morrowind a bit but Oblivion was a different story, everything felt so much better and yes, immersive. The tutorial dungeon felt great because of all the things the game showed you can do and when i got out of it, wow. I just wandered off chased a deer like a fool and decided to go to the Imperial City. To sum up my expirience, for me, Oblivion is the most fun and immersive Open-World-Action-RPG i have ever played, EVER. The faction quests were amazing, the world has variety, the combat is cool, the AMAZING Shivering Isles Expansion Pack (NOT a DLC. DLCs only add a handfull of things, this thing added actual content and many gameplay hours.) Everything is a bundle of a great immersive expirience so i highly recommend this game. On a final note, if you are a TES veteran and wanna get back to Oblivion or any TES game, here's something that might light up your interest. Go full RP. What i mean by that is that you should make a full replica of yourself as a character, not just the apperance. For example if you are a tad strong in real life, pick related skills/stats and the same if you arent that strong and so on, minimize or eliminate the use of fast travel and the use of external info such as uesp.net if you forgot something, and you can go the extra mile and have some RP mods too, but there's one gameplay mod i HIGHLY recommend for any Oblivion player: Auto Update Leveled Items And Spells (AULIAS) by Alek is an essential mod, i can go into details but i wont because i already wrote a bunch here so if you wanna know more about this mod head on ovet to nexusmods.com and look it up.
