A classic not tarnished by time, only changed. Quake is a fast paced shooter in a similar vein to Doom. Although what sets it apart is the atmosphere and more dynamic level design. Where Doom is more about you are the ultimate badass going through hell, Quake is more like you are alone and should feel scared that these things without faces are coming for you. Action packed as all hell Quake will give you a hell of a good time even if you die a lot. It's the tight controls that have the perfect amount of jank to them that I really enjoy. It's and old game and I don't see any of it's big faults even with it's primitive 3d graphics I can't help but feel that adds to the other wordly nature of the game. So over all if you are a fan of tight level design, amazing controls, and awesome atmosphere, you owe it to yourself to play this fantastic game!
