Shadow relese because Tango knew they didn't need to convince you of anything.

Good comic art. It's DDR + DMC with flair. Buy it, play it, love it.

One of the better minigolf games out there. Unfortunately, jacking up the price on (already overpriced) DLC a year after release is a comically bad move, especially with achievements locked behind the paywall. It's safe to assume that Blacklight Interactive will continue to become more and more predatory over time. I will be actively avoiding this studio moving forward and I recommend you do as well.

Early Access Review
It's another automation game. You make an assembly line, drag some conveyor belts, figure out how to power it, then start over. Here are the things that set DSP aside and make it a standout in the genre:

-DSP has replaced hostile units and health. Instead, you have to manage the energy of your mech, which discourages you from doing things by hand that a building could do instead. This means you don't have to pause the game when you need to get up for a few minutes here and there, which feels nice to sit back down to.

-The aesthetics are fantastic. Textures are rich with really nice lighting. It's not revolutionary, but it does create a great atmosphere that compliments the relaxing nature of the gameplay.

-Pacing: Resource requirements, production speeds, energy requirements, how quickly you unlock new tech, and how these play into upgrading/improving things you've already designed all feel like they were considered. There isn't a point in the game where it feels like a massive slog, grind, or chore.

-The long range logistics are very clean in DSP. This makes it so going up in tech to make bigger and bigger factories doesn't feel as repetitive or overwhelming.

-Factories are just straight satisfying to watch, especially when all resources are actually timed well.

-The blueprint system is intuitive and easy to use. The major downside is the way the grids line up on the planets. It makes it a bit awkward lining up blueprints to place. It's only a minor nuisance, especially compared to the effort this system actually saves.

With that said, the game does feel a little sparse on super late game content. It'd be nice to see a few more "chase" style items with absurd resource requirements, but that's my opinion. DSP still boasts at least 200 hours of content, which for a $20 price tag, is an absolute steal. I recommend it to anyone, new or veteran to the genre.

I was a dedicated college student who was on the right path. Now, I own 8,000 lemonade stands, so I think it worked out pretty well.

Imagine they stripped the drawn out story and fluff pieces from a Diablo title and made it all about the dungeon crawl. Spells and abilities in this game are customizable in many more creative ways than Diablo ever had to offer, and I feel like there are always unique things to try out and discover.

As for the biggest selling point, I'm incredibly fond of the league system in place. There are many temporary leagues that span from a few minutes to multiple months. This means that you can always find a brand new environment to start playing in and not feel punished for being months behind other players like one continuous world would.

With that said, I'd warn against picking this game up if you have a midterm or finals week approaching within the next month.
