Wish i could leave a neutral review, but overall more positive. It's decent, the graphics are nice, and you can idle play while doing other things. There's also a bit of extra lore around characters and its fun to explore the first soldier line. I was also surprised I like the co-op mode so much, it's the same as the rest of the game, can't tell you why i like it, i just do. Nothing too special about the game play overall, it's a mobile game so i spend most my time on auto-play, but no complaints. No big bugs or glitches to speak of either, there were a couple of small things at times, but devs patched them pretty quick, nothing game breaking.

It's a gacha game, but I've never felt like I /have/ to spend money on the game. You get plenty of free blue crystals, free weapon pulls, and enhancement materials from just playing the game and events. You also get a ton of free energy restoring items as well, so if you really feel like grinding out hardcore, you still can without spending money. Like a lot of gacha games, you can go at the pace you want, if you want to pay to win, you can do that too.

Now the negatives, you can blast through the story content and dungeons quite quickly, leaving only events and grinding remaining. They've released like...3 events per 1 story chapter since the game has come out. The events give you a lot of stuff but I want them to get to more of the story. Another thing is there definitely are some barriers to certain higher difficulty items. I'd say once you get to items that recommend about 100k power or more, you'll have to start thinking about more strategic builds instead of just going for pure attack power. A lot of the best skills are tied to certain weapons, which are gacha.

But again, because of all the free stuff, i've never felt the need to spend money on the game. But full disclosure I have bought the season pass a couple of times, so there's extra stuff i get from that, but I pretty much always seem to have a bank of about 10k blue crystals to spare beyond what I use up.
