i received a review-key a few weeks prior to early-access, but that doesn´t change anything. if a game is free and bad, i tell people, but i obviously recommend a game when it´s good, like this here!

update 6: Years after release and at 2.6 (Update 26) now. Just added a bunch of new cossover characters from games like Hollow Knight including their weapons. Over 780 hrs already and not stopping anytime soon. A must have game for Action Platform fans!

update 5: the devs added even more stuff to the game with 1.0 including lore, eastereggs and other surprises. right now i play alpha 1.1 which will change the game again, mostly balancing and such, also bugfixes and community related changes. what they learned from 1.0 will changed, optimized or even taken out of the game, if needed.

update 4: so much happened over the last few months incl several updates. now, we are only a few days from release to 1.0 on august 7th! can´t wait and will restart with a second save (first is almost 500 hrs old) and a special event on Twitch[twitch.tv]

update 3: two more updates have been released and the game is soon getting another one. a lot was changed with the last 2 updates, but it turned out to be pretty good changes, although it takes quite some time for people with a lot of playtime, to get used to the changed mechanics. took a break from the game for 3 weeks, but i´m playing it again and loving it (again as well).

update 4 was released... i´m not a fan yet, but the game gets updated daily (sometimes more than once!). so the devs do an awesome job with the support for this game. i just hope some things get changed back again.

as you can see by my playtime, i really like Dead Cells. the devs already released 3 nice updates with a lot of new weapons, game modes, enemies, etc.
something about the performance, while i was streaming the game, it used less than 10% cpu resources (on my amd x6-1100). so in case you have a cpu that is not that powerfull anymore, you should have no issues running this game.

one of the best rogue-platformers i´ve played so far. it really surprised me!
the pixel-art is just beautyful and absolutely smooth (60+ fps on my rather old system on a gtx760).
on early-access release-day i already had 12+ hours of gametime. i will definitely play this for quite some time.
