Rust will never be forgotten, but it will never be at peace. I kept waiting for the right time to write this review, but that time never came.

I stumbled upon Rust by chance and was hooked immediately. The eerie music, the vast world, and especially the people—it all felt alive. But Rust teaches you one thing fast: don’t trust anyone. You will die. A lot. Whether you go solo, play with friends, or join a clan, the struggle is constant.

I built, survived, and failed. It was amazing… until it wasn’t. Updates changed everything—sometimes for the better, often for the worse. The game became a service, lost its soul, and the golden age passed.

Graphics: Always impressive, but very demanding.
Sound: Great early on, but inconsistent later.
Community: Toxic and chaotic, with rare exceptions.
Overall: Rust was a legend—brilliant, flawed, and ultimately undone by what made it great. I hope one day, someone captures that magic again.

It was an honor to play with Gamer1.0, James, QB, Zera, Proyal, and so many others… and of course, everyone from Rusty Moose.

Thank you for the memories.
