Fallout, but you can pee during the fetch quests

Postal Redux is a remaster of Postal, a dark, bloody, and twisted top down isometric shooter that has you play as a tortured protagonist simply named the dude. The premise told through diary entries you read throughout the game establish that the dude is hallucinating the decay and devolution of his town and it's people, forcing him into violent conflict in order to survive. Determining he is the last sane man left in his town, the dude sets about on a crusade to cleanse his town of evil. With a variety of weapons and game modes to play, it won't matter what you decide to do; you will be going postal while you do it.

I recommend this game, it is a fun way to kill some time. It is essentially a copy of the previous Kingdom game, with a few engine tweaks and a larger map. The achievements are mostly the same, as well as core gameplay mechanics of gathering gold, building defenses and tools, building (up) your castle, finding artifacts to improve your castle, gathering survivors/villagers/peasants to give classes to defend/attack, build, or farm. Kingdom New Lands offers (as the name suggests) new maps/lands for you to conquer, allowing for more victory conditions besides destroying the caverns that unleash the monsters/demons, a new mechanic that allows you to transfer (some of?) the soldiers/workers from the previous land to your new kingdom, balanced and reduced costs for building, new buildables, as well as a DLC island called skull Island.

Fun passive little game, 2d platformer. Main goal is to destroy these portals that threaten your kingdom with interdimensional monsters. Some strategy and thought has to go about the game, because you will either find yourself overrun or find that you have expended all of that sessions resources, which can be a little frustrating. But once you get things going with a solid farm of resources/citizens, the beasts stand no chance. There are a few buffs and upgrades you can find exploring, but it is not a huge map area. Overall its decent and a enjoyable way to pass some time. 4/5
