Early Access Review
I have a whole playlist on YT of my journey so far in Peglin:

Peglin is an amazing game. It is like Peggle meets Slay the Spire. It plays out that you fight through three areas with a boss in each area. You beat the game when you get to the end of the third area and beat the boss, but that is where the fun begins.

When you win a run, you unlock Cruciball, a more challenging mode with modifiers. You go up Cruciball levels as you beat each level currently up to 15, but each adds more modifiers on top of the previous ones. When you first start playing this game, there is a lot of trial and error. If you take the wrong Relic, you can easily ruin a run or make it much harder.

The gold update changed this game so much by adding shops that give you more opportunities to build the builds you want, and you can now get a new orb, heal and upgrade all at the same time. Also, gold builds are one of the most insanely broken builds. There is still a lot of RNG, but that is the core of most Rogulike Deckbuilders.

Steam Deck
Ran great with no tweaks on the Steam Deck.

Well, I know that this game is not for everybody. It is my type of game. I have so many hours in Peglin, yet I still enjoy every time I go into the game. I look forward to every new update, with a new one around the corner as I write this. There will always be parts of the game that I am not going to like and that other people will not like, but overall I think the game is still a wonderful experience and just a fun time. It is one of my favorite games on Steam and one of the best Roguelikes I have ever played. Except for when I'm bashing my head against a crucible level first 10 hours plus trying to beat it. Just kidding kinda, that is still fun.
