A game that started development some what 10 years ago, goes to show how refined games could get if you don't rush with the development, especially in times of these.
It was built well enough to be enjoyed from today's high spec machines and future one's decades from initial release in mind.

*Note this is as of 60h worth of gameplay, have not played through the whole game and these are my thoughts so far.

*Have also only explored the singleplayer aspect of the game.

Great combat system, perfect tutorials, easy to learn.
Great story and plenty of fun sidequests.
Great leveling system that is progressively rewarding.
Great party management system.
Good weapons system.
Open world, a lot to explore and useful items to pick up.
Amazing graphics.
Good sounds.
Works flawlessly with the DS4 controller.
Not a cheap console port.
No ubisoft downgrades.
Not put together with cheese and pudding.
Full game (not to be taken for granted these days).
DLC included.
No gambling mechanics with microtransactions.

What more could you ask for a game in 2018?

The only con so far are some minor bugs.

Is it worth full priced? Yes.

Do keep in mind that you need a beefy system to run this as of today's spec standard and you might want to wait until future hardware comes available, here's what you would expect with my specs:

60 - 80 avg fps depending on area, however I'd lock it at 60 for a more consistant experience, on some occasions (i.e certain locations/weather/combat) framerate will go down to 40 but does maintain 60 fine most of the time.

1440p
High-Resolution Pack enabled
Mostly maxed out everything
The game looks stunning, visual effects and particles are just lovely.

One place in the FFXV's world brings back a really old forgotten dream of mine, recreated in perfection it felt like a deja vu, a strange unexplainable feeling of serenity I never thought I'd experience again. Potential spoiler what location >On the journey to Altissia.<
