Game completely gives up on balance in the second half. Otherwise enjoyable, which is unfortunate.

Love this game. I don't even normally like roguelikes or platformers, but this one is extremely fun. I'm not even particularly good at it, but dodging around and using the large amount of weapons and abilities is extremely enjoyable. I don't feel punished for dying, there's no touch damage on standard enemies and you have a lot of options for taking down enemies and bosses. would recommend.

I want to like this game, but you're only going to enjoy it if you like every mission being a grueling slog and fighting on the same maps over and over.

This game does a lot right. It looks great for being a relatively small game, the combat is fun, and the amount of customization you can do to your characters and their classes is also really good. But I kinda hate the bloom mechanic and the amount of timed missions. I feel like I'm being rushed through the missions far too often, and my guys barely scrape by as it is. The combat is harsh, and enemy squads always seem to show up often and at the worst possible times.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to love this game, but I cannot for the life of me enjoy playing it.

I've had a lot of issues with the sliding bits of this game. Jumps failing for no reason. Turns being too slow because of the camera, causing me to fall off. Weird technical weirdness like that. But the actual gameplay is pretty fun and engaging. The story is pretty alright. The use of force powers to find hidden items and paths is well done, save for a few unclear or entirely too frustrating examples (I don't like having to use multiple force powers on a single object in rapid succession, then do three wall runs just to barely make it across a chasm even if I do everything correctly). Combat is alright, but I frequently lose track of what buttons do what, or heal when I want to force push. Characters are engaging. Graphics are very well done. If I could repurchase this on console, I think that would be better. There's just too many important buttons near each other that I get confused, but that's entirely my opinion. The thing I least liked about this game was the slidey bits. I just had waaaay too many problems with them. I also had a lot of lag with this game, even on medium graphics, but that could just be my computer. I definitely recommend this game, however. It's been fun enough to keep me playing the whole time, bugs or no.
