I would have loved to have more interesting discussion about the prospects of the initiative itself, but that's nigh impossible when 90% of the thread is people making false claims, getting corrected, only to make the same false claims again 50 posts later. Frankly, I've never seen such dense concentration of pure lobotomization in over two decades of participating in online forum discourse. Super disappointing overall, but despite all this, I think the thread was nevertheless important for bringing attention to the initiative.

I was thinking about that as well, whether some of the derailing has been intentional all along. Very annoying the moderation just let that one newcomer go on forever with their constant "I've never been wrong" while being blatantly wrong for the last couple days while spewing insults now and then. And once they finally banned that account, they came back openly admitting to using an alt account to avoid the forum ban and moving on to continue making pointless discussion about things that aren't true. Feels like Valve decided to lock the thread as an admission of their inability to handle things, although they were like two thousands posts late with that.

Yeah it's a shame it got locked, I mean it could have gotten locked at any point in the last 11+ months with the stale repetition of tired arguments from the anti-SKG crowd, so I at least appreciate mods only locking it now post 1million signatures, but I mean I feel like some of the trolls are almost deliberately trying to get topics locked like that last guy with their "been 0% wrong in 19 years in face of ridicule & laughter", so kudos to the industry plants I guess for finally getting what they wanted.

Hi, sorry but as of right now it's not for sale. I never intended to be sitting on a rare item like that. It was simply my favorite unusual effect when it was new and still is, and I wish Valve would bring it back
