This is the greatest most detailed real time war strategy game on the market. Going in, expect a steep learning curve. There are many mechanics and things happening that the game does not tell you about. Working through the campaign definitely helps, but I have mainly focused on Conquest. I have played countless hours of Company of Heroes (1, 2 and 3) and was always left wanting more. COH takes a very arcade styled approach to war gaming. I play tabletop Warhammer 40k and Battletch type games. The reason you play those table top games is you have direct control on every aspect and scale of the battle. From the individual soldier to the tank load out, the more detail and control the better. So when I tell you in this game you can directly control a soldier to loot the repair kits out of damaged enemy vehicles to repair your damaged tanks, the detail is there. I am blown away at the number of systems going on in this game. This game is very resource intensive on a computer so be prepared for that. The game is brutal, as should a war game be. Expect to be punished regularly for making mistakes. Pick one faction at first to learn the game. Don't feel bad about putting the difficulty on the easiest until you finish your first conquest. And enjoy!! oh yeah I highly recommend this for anyone who loves war gaming.
