This is a must buy, the world feels alive.

I killed a bandit dressed as a monk, guard investigated from a nearby town. Found me guilty of killing an unarmed beggar monk and was charged 2000 groschen. I killed the investigating guard and lost my bounty.

I stole a sword to start a duel, was caught stealing and the duel gave my opponents better gear in the fight.

I got lost in a medieval city trying to navigate through busy streets and spent hours roaming around finding interesting things to do.

When was the last time you played a game and instead of blasting through dialogue and looking up guides to find the best solution to continue the game? For me, the Witcher III, and now Kingdom Come Deliverance II.

This game continues to impress me. I picked it up again after some time and can't help but be immersed in the island of Tsushima. The sights are stunning, the gameplay is clean, the progression is perfect, and the story is incredible.

This game might be singularly the most fun I've had with any video game in years.

It's a gem, a once in a decade game with more content around every corner and wall of Baldur's Gate itself.

Do yourself a favor and play this game.

Tried introducing an old player of this game to replay. Not worth the trouble, Gaijin's grinding tech tree, economy, transaction squeeze on every player makes this game unbearable to new or returning players. There was a time that this game worked and was fun. Not anymore.

Playing only 8 hours has shown me that this game needs dire improvements before I can recommend it to anyone.

Diplomacy seems in-depth, but rarely matter to the core gameplay of the game, which is economics. This would be fine typically, but in my 4 hour game as Cape Colony to learn the game, I created a nation with the #1 GDP and #9 overall economy only to find I am forced to stay a puppet which cannot do any diplomatic actions whatsoever. I guess my massive economy and military was forced to sit around and wait for the UK to something to make the game interesting.

When I did start a campaign as a free nation, I found myself in the same loop. Diplomatic actions again, rarely mattered, but that's when I found the war mechanics. Warfare is frankly, terrible. Nations will throw a professional army and conscripts into full combat with another power just to defend a minor nation that shouldn't have their support to begin with. Or, when you throw a naval invasion at a province, an entire 100+ unit military is automatically there, leading wars to last infinitely unless you have a land border. When you think you finally won, guess what, you're stuck with the predetermined wargoals of the war you just lost million of dollars to.

Then you can spend the rest of your game navigating a messy UI and micromanaging every province of your nation!

If you're looking for a Victoria experience, play Vic 2. If you want a game solely focusing on economy play Vic 3.

Gave this game a try for the second time after leaving before Heavensward. I can say with certainty that getting back into this game and playing a bit has been an enjoyable time, especially with friends.

I really enjoyed this game. I will say that there are some really nasty bugs and glitches that occurred on first playthrough. It was a staunch improvement from their first game in the series, and definitely has its highs and lows.

One thing I will make clear is that the Crusader system and one companion quest in particular are complete slogs. They make the game go an extended period of time, and are downright miserable at some points. I had to go as far as making the kingdom management automated, even though the decisions are some of my favorite parts.

Apart from that, the game is tons of fun, with lots of replayability. I will definitely be giving some of the other mythic paths a try in my next go at the game.

Definitely on the recommend side with this game, and I would also suggest using Toy Box on Nexus to work around some of the bugs.

This game is unique. You take on the life of a regular guy, conscripted into the Roman legion. You start off with no skill, no gear, and no authority. Eventually through the campaigns you work your way to becoming a veteran of the legion, and a respected authority figure of the regulars that are under you. This is of course, all in order to go home, and die a peaceful death.

It's hard to describe, because honestly there are not many games like this. While it is only text based with a combat mechanic inside it, it gives a neat history of the early Roman republic, and allows you to play as a simple soldier in that era. The difficulty is dependent on the risks you take; you could decide to fight an impossibly strong Macedonian giant called the Bulwark, or simply decide, "Nah, that ain't it" instead. There is not penalty for deciding you won't, because what normal person would. You can get frustrated with simple battles because of RNG, but even Achilles had his heel. Your super soldier could get unlucky and die at any moment, it is what makes the game interesting and not just simple spam clicker.

What was a game that I picked up on a whim turned out to be a game I genuinely enjoy. I hope to see more from the developer, and it has left me with an itch to finding more games like this.
