This is a fun little game that you can just relax and build your tower to the skies!

To be honest I found it nice to just chill out to and watch the numbers go brrrrrr, certainly wasted a few hours chasing the achievements and it felt good reaching the end.

Sure this game has a few problems but if you love the old Space Quest games it is worth checking out. I backed this game some time ago and seen it come a long way. Happy to see if finally on Steam!

A simple premise with a whole lot of depth and complexity, a very fun game and so very much to explore and unlock.
I can see myself playing this for many hours to come as each run can be quite short making this an ideal game to come back to when you have a spare 30 minutes

Love puzzle games, then be prepared to love this.

Beautiful game world, many enjoyable little puzzles, and a story to go along with it.

I can definitely recommend

I've always found The Room games to be a fun distraction with a great story that goes hand in hand with the very eerie setting that has been set along side.

I've been a long term fan of anything Cthulhu-esque so these fit in nicely as Cthulhu-lite introductions to a great cosmic horror

I can definitely recommend any of the series to someone who is thinking of playing them, but I would also suggest starting from the first game and playing through them all

I can't believe I've never written a review for this great game, so here we go:

X4: Foundations is an immersive and enjoyable space exploration game with stunning graphics and sound design. The game's depth and complexity offer hours of engaging gameplay.
While the learning curve may be steep, and often described as a "learning cliff", the rewards of mastering the game's mechanics make it well worth the effort.

I would say that X4: Foundations is a must-play for fans of the space exploration and simulation genre.

Tower Escape is a thrilling and engaging reverse tower defense game that will keep you on the edge of your seat for hours on end. From its visually unique graphics to its challenging gameplay, this game has everything a tower defense enthusiast could ask for.

One of the things that sets Tower Escape apart from other tower defense games is its unique gameplay mechanics. The game tasks you with navigating a maze-like tower, filled with obstacles and challenges at every turn. You'll need to use your wits and quick reflexes to overcome these obstacles and reach the bottom of the tower.

The game also features a wide variety of power-ups and upgrades that can be unlocked as you progress through the levels. These power-ups can give you a much-needed boost when you're stuck on a particularly difficult level, or help you achieve a higher score.

Overall, Tower Escape is a must-play game for any tower defense fan. Its addictive gameplay, unique graphics, and challenging enemies will keep you coming back for more.

Updating Review for 2025

I will admit I am a long time overdue updating this review, and for that I am sorry.

The game has come forward so much than when I first starting reviewing this game, so much so that I am changing my recommendation for this game to a YES from a NO

The game is so much more stable, I haven't had it crash on me since I started playing it again this year.

There are now more missions, and hazards and different ways to play.

I absolutely love the changes that were made (some time ago now) to the classes and for me has made the Zealot even more fun than it was before

The game has come a long way since its first release and is most definitely worth playing if you are a 40k fan, or even if you are just a fan of this game genre

---Old Review starts below---

**Review Update for end of year**
After several patches the game has become more unstable than in beta release, but more content has been added.
Personally I suspect that the crashes are from the client panicking as its not receiving valid data from the servers as one day the game can work perfectly and another it will crash every five minutes (I wish I was joking, it is literally long enough to get back in to the game just for it to crash again). The game can crash in the mourningstar, the pre-game lobby, the start of a mission when loading in, during the mission, at the end of the mission, there is no common pattern to when it will crash.

The new level that has been added in the patches I really like, I hope that more new levels are added that look and play as good as that one. The increased Hounds are also pretty cool, although as hounds are weird and buggy its also annoying as hell :D
I haven't tried the new weapons yet but there are a couple of new ones and I understand they are actually quite good.

So consider this a mixed review update with the overall review still being a negative - wait for stability updates.

My original review was written when running Windows 10 and the updated review is after unwillingly upgrading to Windows 11 (it snuck up on me and installed itself)

--Original Review--

This game is fun, especially with friends, and there is enough to do to keep you levelling up the 4 characters for many hours.

So why do I not recommend this game? Well, simply it is not ready yet, crashes are frequent and bugs preventing progression with either weekly's or even penances are common. It is not unheard of to crash 3-4 times in a single mission, and when you crash you are practically guaranteed that any kills or even a mission completion will not count towards your weekly missions, and the game can even crash when standing doing nothing on the mourningstar (mission hub)
Servers can be laggy and slow to load in to a mission
If you want to do a penance and load in to a mission underway you can forget completing that penance or the mission counting towards penances/weeklys

These are all things that I believe are being worked on and if you are happy to accept these issues then please buy this great game! Otherwise give it 2-3 months for patches to fix these issues

Few games have made me stop and just look at the scenery around me, watching the planet change in response to your actions is such a simple idea but executed well in this game. Seeing this game itself evolve along with the world in which you live has been a great experience.

I would still recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a nice casual sandbox to play in, and lets not forget the soundtrack.

I watched this game played a few times by a dangerously funny youtuber and decided to go out and by it. I'm still getting started on the normal difficulty but this game is challenging and fun and best of all you can pick it up for a quick play when you have an hour to spend without worrying about where you left off.

If you like roguelikes, platformers, or shooter type games this is action packed and well worth the money.
