I laughed. I cried. (Oh, did I cry.) I lost fifteen pounds. Then I gained them back from all the stress eating. The base campaign is supposedly 20 hours long the first time you play, and yet somehow it's never gotten old for me after 1,200+ hours of laughing, crying, and weight loss.

I mean, maybe there's someone out there who doesn't find appealing the sheer thrill of running a true resistance movement to overthrow alien oppressors as you grow your ragtag crew of thieves, mercs, and misfits—each starting out with nothing more than a GED, an assault rifle, and a give-'em-hell attitude—into the most fearsome team of unqualified badasses the planet has ever seen. Maybe there's someone out there who isn't even a little inspired by the idea that these levels of unparalleled badassery could spring forth from all of us when we need it to.

But I doubt it.
