It's refreshing to see a game that was in no need of a touch up, get a full remake that satisfies the fans of the original. It is exactly Dead Space 2023. The original 2008 horror masterpiece, brought into 2023 with a remake that in no way harms the original vision by sticking to the source 1:1 with a few new additions to help push the experience further. I think as far as remakes go, this is close to RE1 Remake for me.

I only hope that this bodes well for the possibility of seeing Dead Space 2 getting a remake as I now have solid faith that they are capable of delivering that and more.

With Callisto Protocol and Dead Space now out and RE4 Remake around the corner followed by Alone in the Dark and Silent Hill returning? I think it's safe to say survival horror fans are eating good this year.
