Early Access Review
Like Animal Crossing, without the time gating, which I very very much appreciate. Not huge on the style choices, I think the game is kinda ugly, and that'd knock it down a whole point for me. But otherwise I think it's pretty good.

My biggest complaint is that the pacing is wonky. It takes too long to get critical villagers into your town, and in some ways it makes the gameplay feel padded. Went through the whole first season and did not get a single additional villager added. I had 800k dinks, and my stuff to do every day was starting to dry up and get repetitive, because I could not do stuff like clothes shop, furniture shop, get key upgrades, or do ANY farming AT ALL. Farming is so critical in games like this, and it's so weird to me that they locked it behind RNG visit chance having to hit THREE TIMES.

This is the worst mechanic in the game. I wish the game had RNG villagers, similar to Animal Crossing, to go alongside the critical villagers, then critical villagers could visit more often and earn them sooner, and the RNG ones would pad out the town and play time and while adding to better pacing rather than messing the pacing up.

I'm also not a fan that the player is the only character with regular homes, which would also be helped by RNG villagers, and doubly so if you could decorate their home like HHD.
