Early Access Review
Alright Look at my hours. I love this game. I loved Ascend.

This game is top game of the year for me. I play HoF (worst position in the game) and yet it still pulls me in day in day out. Pickup Games in the competitive scene really made the cake. However I enjoyed playing the public lobbies constantly. Its fast interesting and challenging. It really hits that kind of childlike part of your brain when you used to try new things like tying your shoes or riding a bike. Things that felt impossible but as you keep going it gets better and better.
The developers with what they were given put out the best they could and it did turn out great eventually. I say eventually because due to abandonment very early on in the development cycle. However none of that really matters in the end. The servers are STILL on and sure updates are slow and maybe a few bugs persist. But at its core its brought me such great joy, and so many new friends for life. It consumed so much of my time and energy and I would not trade it back.
I hope somehow it can keep going although I have no idea if it will. I dont care. I will play this game until the day the servers dry up and the Prophecy Games moves on to other better money making ventures.

Maybe the community can take over like the other tribes games, maybe not.

If you want to play do it now it costs the same as a fast food meal does in this economy.
However it plays like a 4 course meal in France.

If you like speed teamwork CTF and a real challenge. If you dont wanna be babied like modern gaming studios often do to make a quick buck out of you. Then buy it play it now.

Dont miss out on a niche and beautiful piece of art.
Dont let bitterness and entitlement blur your vision from enjoying something that really could be your next favorite thing. Who cares about Hi-rez or prophecy in the end. The game is what matters and the people that play it make its heart beat still. Slow steady and still going.

Special shoutout to my friend Drizzle one of the developers at prophecy who worked and continues to work tirelessly to keep this game moving. He inspires me that although CEOS and industry titans will continue with a destructive cycle of consumerism and greed there are just as many developers out there who really care about community and the games they create.
