Genuinely a very enjoyable experience that has has so much to offer. Already onto my second playthrough!

This is basically a "Story" dlc in my eyes, you have the progression of your entity research which unlocks new horrors and weird things to interact, all of which have their own challenges to solve. There are loads of new mobs and a bunch of new buildings and items to mess around with. Personally I've really been enjoying messing around with the Ghouls, they are very useful melee pawns that have uncanny regeneration (They can even regrow limbs and organs!)

There are tons of new systems in the game and new frameworks in place for modders to hook onto. I see a huge new potential for the modding community. For example, multiple simultaneous research projects and the whole entity system. Also not to mention the myriad of QoL the 1.5 update brought.

By far the most under appreciated part of this DLC has to be the new music, I honestly think its what makes this DLC. You cant have a spooky unnerving atmosphere without a good soundtrack and man, whoever composed this deserves a raise.

My only possible critique with the DLC is that it feels disconnected from the rest of the game and i think that was quite intentional. It leads towards a great story driven experience the first time around but i could see how repeat playthroughs it could become tiresome to rediscover everything you already know. Luckily this has already been at least partially addressed by the devs and its a little less binary. That all being said, It already has some integrations with Ideology with the two new MEMEs.

All in all, a MUST HAVE DLC for any Rimworld enjoyers out there.
