The most 40K game to ever 40K. Rogue Trader does very well at showing the contrast between the opulence of a Rogue Trader and the griminess of all that is Grim-Dark™.

For those coming from Baldur's Gate 3, be warned that not every piece of dialogue is voiced, but some pieces are added each update.

Combat is your classic table-top grid-style systems, with a 40K twist. Those familiar with Pathfinder should be right at home.

The stories my crew and I take away from every session is always worth the experience, and I'll tell you one know.

• A simple mission to investigate beacons and mine some ore
• The beacons turn out to be zombies (AKA husks), which start ripping into the hull of the submarine.
• One gets jelly'd by one of the crew shooting a railgun into it. The rest are killed by smaller arms.
• We are done with missions, so we are heading to the next station to turn them in.
• We are attacked by a giant Mollusk, which proceeds to ram our ship.
• I am HURLED at mach-5 into the roof and halfway across the sub, suffering a broken neck in the process.
• I rush back to the controls and try to finish the battle, the medic examining me.
• The paralysis from the broken neck kicks in and I die of a severed spine.

Barotrauma is all about making good of a bad situation. One of the best "crew" type games and the modding community is very active.

TL;DR? One of my favorite social deduction games, but do not play it without friends.

Over the years, this game has grown to one of my favorite social deduction games. Many akin it to the "better Among Us". and though many mechanics are different, they are basically correct.

The premise of the game is that there a 6 players, 2 of which are the "Personoid" AKA traitor, sus, or whatever you dub the bad guys. The goal of the innocent is to go through a default of 3 maps to shut down the big bad robot AI. The goal of the personoid is to stop this from happening.

My favorite part of the game is that the personoids can't (in most cases) just click a button to kill the innocents. They have to use the environment to their advantage, like throwing someone into a pool, fire, or a giant Fly Trap. Most kills can be played off to look like accidents and it creates hilarious moments and sows doubt.

However, my main problem with the game is that the game is very dead, and those still remaining in public lobbies either take the game too seriously and/or are toxic. This is why I can only recommend this game to those willing to get a full lobby of friends to play, otherwise you would be wasting your time.

Other than this gripe, I love this game so much, and if you can snag 6 copies when it's on sale, I recommend it wholeheartedly.
