I've bought and played every iteration of this game over the years as it is one of my all time favorite console games but this not the best Chrono Trigger.

This particular version seems to be a port of the mobile release, and after reading some reviews i held off on playing it. The updates, after waiting 6 months, have improved this mobile port significantly. However, the DS version still seams to be the definitive version. Where is the bestiary, dojo, and FMVs from the DS version? I love how some mainstream reviews are attempting to call this the best version to experieance Chrono Trigger.

Despite all the updates this is still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port of a masterpiece. I'm sure everyone welcomed the updates but too little to late. This is a cash grab from a greedy publisher that would rather tarnish a legendary game and make a quick buck.

At the end of the day the fault is my own. I continued to buy all these remasters, definitive editions, ports... despite my better judgement. Im happy they attempted to fix it. To be fair some things were. It is not however, the definitive version. Some things are missing. Nothing from the story but enough missing that i'd rather dust off the old DS.
