Absolutely legendary. Stem to stern, its a great ride. Lots to do, lots to see. Can't wait to see where it goes next. Highly recommended.

I remember when this game had promise, had potential.

Now? It's abandonware. Do not purchase it.

The game overstays its welcome and the arena fights get more and more dull as it extends further past the point it should've stopped. The unlock system didn't engage me. It was a very mid boomshoot overall. I would not recommend it or its sequel. I thin Byte Barrel should've gone back to the drawing board. Maybe cut the chaff down by half.

Some of the best VNs I've ever played were small, independent productions from small groups. The kind you'd buy at a convention from a Doujin circle for 15$. It might be missing all the fancy bells and whistles, but it has heart and soul to spare...and this game is no exception. MDF is the spiritual successor to all the saturday morning cartoons we loved back when we were kids. It wears its Sailor Moon and Power Rangers influences on its sleeve, unafraid to be goofy and nonsensical. From over-the-top action sequences to slices of everyday life, there's never a dull moment to be had. The rapid-rife comedy, even when it misses, still feels better than any other AAA produced waifu collecting cringefest. If you've ever wanted to sit back and enjoy a good Kinetic Novel, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest.

The best past is the characters, an absolute slam dunk of a cast. From the sassy and grumpy Frank, to Hizachi the anything-but-simple hobgoblin, to Mayako the crazy rich swordswoman...its the contrasts that make them unique. Almost Shakespearean at times, I just want to see them interact more. Not just with each other, but the world around them.

Honestly? I want to see where this story is going. And it seems the developer is planning on adding more over time so...whatever this story has in store, I'm there. There's so much potential and talent here I'd hate to see it go to waste. Do yourself a favor and pick it up. Give it a chance. I promise it's worth a look.

INTERFACE QUALITY: B [it leaves something to be desired, but it does what it needs to do without being over-complicated.]
ART QUALITY: A [the soft, bouncy, cartoon-esque aesthetic suits the mood to a T.]
WRITING QUALITY: A- [unafraid to be what it is, a 90s era cartoon about teenagers fighting evil by moonlight]
EXTRA CONTENT QUALITY: B+ [once I realized it was there, I was taken back to age 13 watching Homestar Runner on an old Mac in the Middle School computer lab]

OVERALL GRADE: A- [a worthy successor to the saturday morning cartoons of the 90s. all I need now is a bowl of sugary cereal to make this the complete experience]

If you enjoy Souls-like games and want something a bit faster paced but also with oodles of customization you can't go wrong with Nioh.

It can be tough, but with the ability to respec to correct mistakes you made while leveling...you can make it. Ganbatte as the Weebs say. Definetly reccomend. Just be sure not to lose hope in this game's Blighttown...it gets better.

Let me tell you right now that this game is amazing...but it isn't for everyone. Civilization fans will be turned off by how simplistic it is but I assure you its a lot deeper than you might think.

My favorite 4x game, blowing Civ4 and Age of Empires 2 out of the water.

You won't regret buying this.

Let's be real here, you're getting this for GTA Online and not the single player.

It's good stuff. Just takes up like 100 gigs with that sweet uncompressed audio.

Reccomended tho.

This game has massive problems with its AI programming.

For that reason, I can't reccomend it. It's great right up until you have to deal with AI players and even on completely braindead they manage to be impossible to budge. Don't buy this game. Buy Endless Space 2, maybe they fixed things there. Or buy Endless Legend because its way better put together and balanced game. Just don't waste your money, time, effort, or thoughts on this game.

For the ending to a trilogy, this game takes everything built up by the previous games and throws them in a bin for a completely different system. The story seems almost more basic and bland than the previous entries in the series. Sure, we find out things about the characters but it's still only skin-deep.

There are so many problems in the dialogue that it physically hurt to read those word bubbles floating over people's heads. They oftentimes say completely different lines, as if the VAs were ad-libbing half the script. And there's also the various bugs and glitches in the game...

I managed to finish the game after only 9 hours of total playtime and that was also finding all the poorly hidden "Secrets" which are mostly just pop culture refrences and memes which felt incredibly dated and out of place.

This series couldn't have ended on a more boring, drawn-out note if it tried.

5/10. Only play this is you want to finish the story.
