This game has a lot of potential and has been highly anticipated. I've been playing for about 5 hours now and I think the game is pretty good. However before you buy it there should be one thing you should keep in mind. THIS IS AN EARLY ACCESS GAME. It's buggy, laggy, has very long server load times (If it doesn't fail), the party system isn't in yet, and the game itself is poorly optimized.

EDIT: An update has been released that improved server load times and gives the user more information on what the server is doing/waiting on.

EDIT 2: An update has been released now allowing offline progression. You are no longer locked to playing online to earn money and unlock stuff. Now you get a 10% bonus when you play online.

However, looking past all this, it's enjoyable to play and the team did a good job on the clouds and weather effects. Over the next few weeks/months its only going to improve. Some may say "This game has been in development since 2016 and THIS is what they have to show for it?" but keep in mind its always been a small dev team working on this game, creating custom weather systems. (There's a video by Hectic on YT that shows the progression of the visuals over the past 7-8 years or so) The game is far FAR from finished but that's the point of an early access game. The devs need the feedback of us, the players, to bring this game to completion.

What baffles me is how much negativity there is in the reviews (Currently 66% positive as of writing) for a game in alpha that has only been out for 24 hours (at time of writing). I know people are disappointed with how buggy the game is but its an early access game, what did you expect? So this is my initial review. I will revisit and update it as development progresses.

This is a great game and concept. Pretty fun with friends but limited in it's early state. There is plenty of room for improvement and expansion but at the current moment, the developer has completely disappeared and the game is no longer being worked on.
It's a real shame too as this game had a lot of potential. I still recommend it but be aware that the state it's currently in is its final state until the developer returns and starts working on it again, but all of us in the Storm Chaser community doubt that will happen and that this came will just end up as abandon-ware.

Great game and nice visuals. The visual itself are pleasingly retro with a Terraria feel to it. The controls are easy to get a hang of and the story line is interesting right off the bat. While I've only played the game for an hour, so far I can see myself playing this for hours.
