The story did seem a bit underwhelming, but the boss fights that took place is actually hype and fun.
Though the story is bad, you'd eventually realize it's just a ~10Hrs tutorial to what the game really is. The story is 10% and the mid to end-game is the remaining 90% of the game.

The game has a pretty similar matchmaking to Monster hunter series. You can Also select one of six types of missions, there are defense missions, survival missions but most important ones are Boss missions. Each type of mission has it's purpose and is not a filler or unimportant. some missions grant better gold and level up mats, others are better for character Exp...etc

I enjoy this game so much and you can easily sink +100hrs into it and even more.

Coming back to this game sure is expensive.

Decent DLC, could've been better. Dev seems to listen to feedback regarding spells. This DLC also adds some end game potential that can get better with time.

in terms of quality of systems, this one has the best so far. It's not too grindy when compared to the other games, and it forces you to not be too over powered for the enemy officers by limiting your progression in story mode.

Art direction is unique and it is an enjoyable experience. The only problem with this one is it lacks a proper end-game content.

Extremely high potential. Has one single map at the moment. It has decent replayability. Can easily sink 25 - 30hrs at launch version. I would definitely keep this under the radar.

Just thinking about replaying this game at least 10 times before it gets old for a few months, then repeat the cycle until our next RE game. Capcom delivered this remake beautifully.. This is a masterpiece!

DW fans will certainly get the most out of the story in this game, even though it's pretty bad and generic at best, like any Team ninja game let's face it, but it's nice seeing favorite characters show up one after another.

I encourage you to not judge the game on your first playthrough, This game, like Nioh 1 and 2, get better the deeper you dive into NG+'s. Currently we only got 1 NG+, but if this is going to be like Nioh, which already is shaping up to be like one, then Wo Long is gonna get better with all the DLC's coming out eventually this year.

Right now it's best to buy it on PSN. Performance issues are getting fixed slowly, but I can't recommend it for mid/low pc builds. FPS drops are insane sometimes with specific stages, and online is iffy most of the time.

It scratches the Top down shooter space itch, while being a fan favorite and a childhood game as a bonus.
