I often found myself gazing blankly upon a litter of conveyer belts connecting to a heap of furnaces or an entanglement of grabbers. I’m not the only one who, hours into one play through, would look at it all and wonder what it actually does. Where does this conveyer belt go? Why did I build it like this? What would happen if I changed it?

I’d try to follow the journey of a metal plate, from its birth as an ore to its transformation and transportation across the entire site. Sometimes it may be taken elsewhere to be turned into something else, or I’ll pick it up myself to refresh my inventory. However, sometimes it’ll reach the end of the conveyer belt; the area that isn’t finished. And that is where it will stay. Until I build more belts and move it further along.

You will no doubt love this game as much, if not more, than I do. You will live it. But most importantly, you’ll eventually create a system so detailed and confusing, that it will make no sense whatsoever.

But that’s this game in a nutshell; it will make no sense yet the factory keeps working.
