If you compare Kiwami against Yakuza 0 you can be a little disappointed.

- It reuses a lot of the assets, movements, skills and mini games.
- There are less things to do, less secondary stuff and less mini games.
- The story is good but Yakuza 0 writing was more complex and better overall.
- Kiwami's campaign is shorter, the map is also smaller with only 1 city this time.

But if you keep in mind that this is a remake from Yakuza (2005) and that it sticks to the original story, it is normal that the writing and the missions can be "worse" than a game that was released in 2015.

Pros:
- Better skill tree.
- Better combat and fluid movement.
- Less overwhelming, the tutorials are better.
- Great voice acting.

Overall, Yakuza Kiwami may not be the best in the franchise but it is a good game that you need to play because of the story if you want to continue with the franchise and it is a fun game overall.

If you just played Yakuza 0 I would recommend that you don't play Kiwami right away because you will be getting more of the same, just put it on hold for a couple of months.
