Warframe is about magic space ninjas who do anything for money.

This FTP (free-to-play) game leaves quite the impression on newcomers and before they know it, they are tied to the game for weeks.

You are given the choice of a warframe right at the start, as you go through the tutorial. The starter frames are but a tip of the iceberg in terms of the available frames in the game. Each major update sees a new addition to the already sizable list of frames and their prime variants.

GAMEPLAY
--------------------------

This is a third person shooter with a knack for ninja-esque movements a.k.a 'Parkour 2.0'. You'll see yourself jumping, floating, climbing and gliding across the many environments Warframe has to offer, all while shooting or blowing up enemies with your special abilities. Warframe is the game where all your childhood fantasies about ninjas and powers come to life. Many times I'd soar into the air, leap off a wall and glide past a door, firing a large rocket from my 'Ogris', leaving death and destruction behind me. If you like fluid, fast and fun gunplay + parkour, this is the game for you.

STORY
--------------------------

There isn't a whole lot to mention about the story of Warframe. Much of it is told through the quality voice actors that are in the game, as well as playing through the events that come up. There isn't a linear story per-say, there's just knowlege of the past beings and current events. You are living the life of a Tenno in the current Warframe universe. The story expands with you.

ACQUIRING ITEMS/LOOT
-----------------------------

Warfame has done a rather good job with their FTP model. Platinum, the in game currency, is not only restricted to those that purchase it, but can also be traded for in-game items. This creates a market for items in high demand and allow those who can't purchase plat with real money, to acquire the same benefits over time. Warframe's loot system is based on RNG, which if you're out of the loop simply means that you get random item drops based on the missions you do. Higher tiered missions will normally give you better rewards a lot more frequently, but there are some items which are only found in lower-levelled missions to even it out. RNG can be frustrating at times, especially when you try to gather the parts for a Warframe, only to get 2/3 parts 10 times in a row!!! This brings me to my next section...

WARFRAMES
----------------------------

These are your playable 'characters' per-say. They are more like powered suits (since you're a Tenno and not a Warframe) which you can equip as you like. They all come with lots of amazing abilites and awesome appearances. They can be purchased straight from the store, or built over time. The building method is fairly simple: gather the Helmet, Chassis and Systems (and the necessary materials), craft them in the foundry and when complete, craft the Warframe's blueprint. Simple right? Heh. Good luck.

SUMMARY
-----------------------------

Overall this game is one that really rewards you once you hit a certain point, but overdoing it can leave you bored, while doing too little can restrict your progress. The game's devs listen to the community and change things quite often and they seem to be going in the right directions with most things.

Right now I can give this game a solid 8/10. Play it.
