GAME IS A MASTERPIECE!

As most others have said if you like platform fighter (smash bros, rivals etc) and roguelikes you will definitely like this game.

The combat system is fluid, combos are mad cool, The bosses are enjoyable to fight, The upgrade system definitely has feeling stronger in the runs as you progress. and the play loop is fantastic seeing as you get the option to play with several weapons (that now have two different forms) as a roguelike enjoyer I highly recommend this one!

Okay tbh I feel like Worms could have pulled this off YEARS ago but I'm glad its happening now

If you are looking for regular worms this is not it. This is Worms Deathmatch and Worms BR. If you've played other 2D games (think Awesomenauts) you should feel right at home here. I have been enjoying this game heavily to the point that I entered the first Dreamhack Tournament for it. Pays a lot of Homage to Traditional Worms with weapons you can pick up. Its really just like mindless fun with or without friends. If they keep updating this I can see this game really taking off.

Wow wow wow wow wow.

This game is Amazing!

I've only attempted one run so far but I know I will be attempting several runs in the future.

Pros
+ Visually AMAZING!
+ Soundtrack Slaps!
+ All the classes I've played so far feel like they all serve a different purpose. You can play the game however you like.
+ Definitely feels like the right amount of challenging.
+ The battle system is engaging and the battle animations are smooth AF
+ Story seems cool for those who like that (I'm honestly just here for the gameplay lol)

Cons
Theres cons????

If you like that more engaging RPG and you like Roguelikes/lites....GET THIS GAME!!!

FIRST OFF This game is NOT Custom Robo, and that is fine, I feel like this game has the right amount of Custom Robo Inspiration while also being unique enough to be its on standalone series/title.

with that being said I will have to make Custom Robo Mechanic Comparisons

THE GOOD!
+ wires are a welcomed addition to the mechanics of this game type
+ The characters all seem unique, different specials, speeds, dash types all give each character their own "playstyle"
+ The stage layouts are good, familiar for those who played custom robo but even if you didn't they seem very easy to understand
+ The round start not being the cube launcher number thing is really good
+ Chip sets seems cool as long as none of the chips are OP (haven't unlocked everything yet)

The So-So
* The Music has peaks and lows, Some of the music is REALLY good, certified slappers. Other times tho the music is VERY repetitive and that's only after 2 hours of playing, pretty quick to get tired of a song
* The character aesthetics seem kinda lackluster and lifeless, especially the humanoid characters, Robots looking lifeless that's fine and all but when you start putting humans/animals in I feel like they shouldn't look also like robots
* Stage aesthetics are kinda boring too, not ugly but they aren't eye catching for fascinating either
* No Story mode, doesn't REALLY matter in the grand scheme and Arcade still lets you mess around and stuff but would have been nice to know a little more about the Synaptic Drive universe through a story
* UI feels bland as well

The Bad
- THE ONLINE IS A SIN. This might actually be the worst online I've ever played and this is coming from a person who regularly plays Smash online, Idk what netcode they are using but it is the WRONG one by a long shot, If this game has any chance of keeping popularity they are going to have to fix this ASAP
- Trackers seem a little TOO good in this gaem
- One thing I liked a lot about Custom Robo was when you knocked someone down their bullets went away, That doesn't seem to happen in this game and I think it needs to. With Trackers being so powerful and lasting so long in this game I feel like the reward you get from a knockdown is almost always stifled by a lingering tracker still chasing you around the stage.
- currently it feels like I'm just trying to put as many long lasting hitboxes out as possible and hope my oppenent runs into it, that feels more like luck than skill and in this game type I feel like you would like to promote skill way more than luck

I would like to recommend this game assuming issues get fixed that have been outlined in this and other reviews. If this game is a "what you see is what you get" deal tho I can not recommend it right now

I'm not one usually in to dogfighting games (except for StarFox, rip StarFox) but this game is some HEAT!

controls take a little bit of getting used to (played on controller) but after about 15 minutes I pretty much was doing all the things I wanted to do and meant to do, the upgrade system is pretty cool and the music is filled with BANGERS

Also aesthetically pleasing!

Will probably end up finishing this game sometime this week POSSIBLY ON TWITCH.TV/TKBREEZY!!!!

Game slaps!

Okay but actually the combat feels very fluid, the voice acting is nice, haven't really been paying too much attention to the story but it is not taking away from the game by any means.

The unlock system feels like you always have something to look forward too and thats also very nice!

9/10 would play again, (will play again on Twitch.tv/TKbreezy)!!!!!!!

THIS GAME SLAPS!

If you are a fan of games like Ronin or Hotline Miami this game is for you.

From my limited playthrough there is some level of importance on the dialouge that changes the way the people interact with you and how well you complete missions.

other good stuff
- The combat feels fluid and fun and makes you feel cool.
- Slow-mo stuff is always cool.
- The dialouge in general between enemies is pretty funny.
- The graphics.
- The fact you can cut people off when talking to them.
- THE MUSIC BUMPS! I'M DEF GETTING THAT SOUNDTRACK!

definitely worth the playthrough. I Will be doing that at some point at TWITCH.TV/TKBREEZY

Roof Rage is easily becoming my favorite platform fighter (that isn't Smash of course) However It definitely plays much different from Smash so it has it's on distinct feels.

A Platform Fighter with life bars but also with blastzones was a very great idea. Each Character feels very unique but also a familiar. Mostly due to the characters seemingly paying homage to other figthing games/pop culture. Hoon has shoto like moves. Nawi reminds me a lot of Elena/Eddy from Tekken, Leon feels like you're playing Neo from the Matrix and Snake from Smash all in one. The game is very fast paced. The hitstun gives you enough time to make some really cool combos but also makes it so you can't 0-Death people easily unless its like under some VERY exact situations.

Only real con I have is the netcode can be a little shoddy at times but tbh I know that's something that will be fixed later on as they flesh the game out.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had been looking forward to Wizard of Legend since I saw the alpha trailer of it. I can tell you this was well worth the wait and after just playing through the first few areas I am already hooked. If you liked games in the same fashion of Hyper Light Drifter, Bastion and Titan Souls, this game is right up your lane. The spell system allows for such diversity in your wizard's style. You can go super rushdown and depend on your Melee Arts with Support spells such as shields and damage boost or you can go full elementalist and use fire, water, lighting and many other elements to go ham. My only gripe (which is pretty much my same gripe in all games like this) is no online multiplayer. But if you got a friend or a sibling to play with I can see the co-op being hella fun as well. (Also Parsec for your PC and you can do co-op with a friend!)

Also informed they will be updating this game with new content so that's a super huge boost to an already awesome game with massive replayability!
