An Open letter to Spike Chunsoft.

*Ahem* Dear Spike Chunsoft, As you are well aware, this game is seen as "Mixed" by a number of the community. However, I believe that this game is more than that, and is truly worth the time, if you wish to give it. The attention to detail in relation to the source material, it's all there. Personally, if horrible things weren't happening to orphans, it just wouldn't be MiA. However, while the game is good in its own right, I do have some complaints...Okay just one complaint.

The game is fantastic, the Abyss draws you in and keeps you coming back (if you've the stomach for it of course.) so much so that I, someone who barely plays modern day games, kept coming back, and aside from the story mode, I have every achievement as of this review. The music go harder than it should in some places, and the atmosphere hit that sweet spot of being just daunting enough to make you want to turn back and take a break, while being tantalizing enough to keep pushing forward for that sweet SWEET Dopamine. However, we must address the elephant in the room, or rather, the twelve and a half foot flying rat on layer three.

THAT'S RIGHT, The Madokajack, I'm talking about the Madokajack. Seriously, Satan's birds must be stopped. This is a plea of war against the wall watching sky dwellers. I BEG of you, please PLEASE patch their hitboxes in the future so we don't get knocked down while HALFWAY IN A CAVE. Seriously, I'm trying to climb inside the safe zone and suddenly a KC-135 Stratotanker sized monstrosity hits me with little warning besides the ominous music.

As such, I beg the devs to please take another look at the rats and perhaps reduce their size ever so slightly, beyond that game's a solid 8/10. It has some slow moments, and random bandit attacks are kind annoying, but if you like pain, you'll love this game. Bought it twice so I could get the collector's edition on PS4.

Update: I now have all the Cheevos.
