Civilization VI is a very good new installment for the Civilization series. While I have only been with the series since Civ 5, I find the new changes in the gameplay very exciting and refreshing.

The graphical changes may be offputting to some, but I personally find them enjoyable. I especially like the new map layout, with the fog of war being represented by a very old style map.

The new idea of districts allows for some very diverse gameplay, and provides the new challenge of planning your cities very carefully for maximum production, faith, etc. while leaving room for wonders within your city. This also means that a land-locked city can still have a sea-port and build naval units. Builders have also been changed; they now provide only 3 uses, but they improve tiles immediately.

Overall, the changes are very good and launching the game for the first time, and many subsequent launches afterwards, it provides a very refreshing sense of exploration and excitement.
