The uplay launcher and the unskippable cutscene make this game unplayable.

Even as it stands right now - this is the best iteration of the Tropico series. The amount of buildings you have to chose from, all the different edicts, all the constitution options... The unlimited number of maps you can create with the sandbox map creator, it's nice.

The only thing this game is missing right now: mods. Mod support would take this game to the next level. Tropico 5 by itself was an OK game, it was playable, but the mods made it. I still play Tropico 5 frequently, because of the mods.

The game is great, sure. However, when the developers of the game wish to silence the modding community that they've previously supported for reasons that are untrue, then the game loses it's playability and respect.

My, how this game has progressed over the years.

When I first got this game, I was unable to play for weeks because of a licensing error, that caused the came to not run. When I was finally able to play, I wouldn't say I was met with disappointment, but I was expecting more.

Slowly, but surely, over the years, this game keeps getting better and better. The modding community has made it even more awesome than could ever be expected.

This right here is the true successor to the Roller Coaster Tycoon franchise. It takes everyting that RCT3 did and improves upon it exponentially. The graphics are incredible, performance is smooth, and thanks to workshop support, the posibilities are unlimited. I'm looking forward to see how this game progresses with updates. A larger career mode would be much welcome. Overall, excellent game. If you love any of the games in the RCT series, then you'll also love this game. I can't say if this game is better than RCTW because I don't have any personal experience with it, but I promice that Planet Coaster will not disappoint.

This is an amazing game. In it's current state, it is already a never-ending game. You always discover something intresting and new. The modding scene makes it even better, though I don't usually play with mods. There is also multiplayer!

To make a long story short, this game is perfect for those who want an open world game with no restrictions. You can build, farm, explore, trade, and craft.

Want to be a nomad and do everything completely from your ship? Fine. Want to find a nice planet, build a massive base there, and settle down? That's fine, too. Want to go from planet to planet killing everything and stripping it of every plant, animal, mineral and NPC? It can be done. You also have the option of playing different alien races and not just human!

My only reccomendation is the ability to build your own ship from scratch. I believe there is a mod for this, however I'd love to see it officially in the game.

I have to give mad props to all the developer who have touched this game. Great work! Also, for those of you who love an awesome soundtrack, this game has one of the best.

This game isn't perfect, but it's damn near close.

The immersion of this game is quite awesome. The level of control over the settings and key bindings make it even more awesome. If you're like me and have a wheel ( I have a DFGT) it adds a different level of the game that you truly have to experience.

A few gripes I have, as everyone has already been addressing: Right turn on red. Being able to make a right turn on red is a staple of driving culture here in the United States. Everyone does it. It's safe to do, provided you actually look to see if anyone is coming, and shaves precious seconds or even minutes off of your driving time... I'd like to see that implemented a little better in the game. Also...... Speed fines. Yes, it is well known that speeding tickets are a prime source of revenue generation for law enforcement here in the US, however speeding tickets for going less than 5 over are almost non-existant, at least in my neck of the woods anyway.

To sum it all up, this game is worth every penny. It's fun. It's interesting. It's a good way to spend time. I can't wait to see more states implemented, especially the east coast. I want to see how West Virginia looks in the game.

This is by far one of my current favorite games on the PC. There is also so much potential left as to where the came could go in furture developlent. Exploring a planet, building the best possible tech, and fighting other techs make this game so incredible. Also, the graphics are great for that they are. Only thing I'm hoping for is an option to skip the tutorial, as well as a few more performance enhancements.

This has quickly become one of my favorite games. I enjoy most everything about it. Custom ship designs, putting buildings on planets, terraforming planets, creating supply networks, leveling planets, etc. This game is really fun and enjoyable.

The only frustrating problem I have is population on planets. How do you gain population quicker? Does it just take a really long time at 1x or 2x speed or does anything like terraforming or building cities need to be done? I have no idea.. And there's no help guides that even mention population.

Overall, this game is extremely fun for anyone who is into space exploration and building.

Unfortunatley, this has been nothing but a waste of time and money for me. The game, as a fresh download, is unplayable. It took hours of tweaking the cfg file to get the game up to just barely playable. I shouldn't be having this much trouble with this game on a system with an 8 core processor, dual 270x graphics cards and 16 gigs of ram. The physical CD FSX runs just fine on this system. No joke.

I guess overall, it's not bad, but it could be expontentially better.
