The game itself has surprised me as one of the best examples of how 'games as a service' can be run in a positive manner, organically developing a community that works together towards goals, furthering the experience of Helldivers beyond the core gameplay.

Unfortunately, Sony (the publisher) made decisions which have broken this positive relationship, and may lead to the dissolution of said community in short order.

As Sony has now reconsidered this poor thinking, I would once again endorse the title, with the understanding that the long-term prospects for the community are questionable.
