The text contains lots of typos (and this definitely isn't a translation issue as the game is only in a single language). The lines voiced seem to be randomly selected as to what is voiced and what isn't and don't always match the text. Some lines of text disappear before the ability to read it (when on manual progression. I can only imagine it's even worse on auto progression) The timed options where you must choose an option before you instantly die don't even give you enough time to read one of the options let alone consider any of the multiple options. The game never informs you how to save - however, after my first death, I tested and it was the stereotypical bringing up the menu with the "esc" key… Now that I'm this far in, I'll probably play again and try to actually complete the story, but I still do not recommend purchasing this game.

I was very stubborn about choice timers in the past as the one bit of gameplay this thing has, but I'm planning on adding options to either remove or adjust the length of the timers in a future update. I also had admittedly not thought that pausing the game was worth putting in the tutorial as I took it for granted that people would pause the game on their own, but I'll add it to the tutorial text in the future so there's no confusion.

Sorry for the lengthy comments but thank you for checking out my game and thank you for your feedback! I'll keep it in mind as I work on improvements for the project. If you happen to revisit it I hope you find something to enjoy in the experience!

The game is always free so you can't really "purchase" it, but regardless I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy it, and I plan to improve it further in future updates.

Some things you mentioned are intentional decisions, such as the use of small audio barks peppered throughout dialogue as a way of providing tone (like Lizzy saying "You know...?" during an inquisitive line) when full voicing isn't possible. This project is a free production with a volunteer voice cast, so I had to make compromises. I focused on getting establishing or really important scenes voiced, using barks to supplement the rest.

Some text deliberately auto advances as a way to express an interruption or surprise, like in the beginning of the game when the headmaster shouts at Lizzy while she is lost in thought. The game actually has no auto-mode because I did not want there to be confusion between when the game is going at the player's pace vs. when it is deliberately taking control from you.
