This review comes from the perspective of playing at the hardest difficulty;
Boltgun is through and through a classic Boomer Shooter. Its not trying to innovate, its not trying to do anything new, or push the envelope of the genre, but....honestly? What more do you need than to shoot and kill heretics in the most classic way possible?
Boltgun is a very simple gameplay loop, run and shoot, with some melee in between.
The only objective in this game is to run through every level, and shoot to kill everything in sight
Not much more needs to be said. The gameplay loop is still incredibly enjoyable regardless of it's simplicity.
Bonus points if you're a fan of the 40k-verse

Didn't know I had Aperiophobia until I played this game
Truth be told, Im not sure if a paragraph or two will really give a full scope of a review of Subnautica, but
Its definitely one of the most enjoyable singleplayer survival games I've played in a long time.
Never has a video game evoked such a primal fear out of me.
The sounds of the predator leviathan lurking just out of sight, in a vast, nearly infinite ocean...
Makes my skin crawl in such a way that no horror game has done it
Make no mistake, Subnautica is NOT a game in the horror genre. It is a terror game.
Anyone who goes into this game blind, without any spoilers or from watching YT videos, is in for a treat

Quoting one of my friends as I say this;
This game, is the definitive game to play with the boys
Play as a squad of three 9ft tall, 3 ton super soldiers, and kill everything in sight with upmost ULTIMATE prejudice and violence.
The one thing I'll admit for this game that is a bit lacking, is the fact that the campaign is pretty frustrating to play solo with the two playerbot AI being very finnicky. If you can get two buddies to commit to the whole playthrough, the experience is much more appropriate.
Regardless, queuing up with randoms on PvE is still fine, we're all brothers and sisters under the Imperium of Man after all.

Took me a while to really get the grasp of this game, after a lot of trial and error, this game has hooked it's nicotine filled claws into my brain, and I am absolutely addicted to the gameplay loop
Its an insanely enjoyable time killer that I can focus all my attention on, or is something that I can play casually on one monitor while progressing my work on the other.
If you like rogue-likes, you absolutely should give Balatro a try. This game is CRACK.

Early Access Review
This game takes the fundamentals of so many of our favorite open world rpgs from the 2010s and does its best to solidify the gaps as much as they can. The detail of this world is concise and fascinating, the dialogue of the npcs are enthralling and sometimes hilarious, and the world-building and lore, is done well to be easy to grasp, but deep enough for you to ponder about Kamelot and its history.
Its not often that Open-World RPGs are consistent like this, especially so when a dev team is without the budget of a triple A title or IP. Tainted Grail is worth supporting in my opinion, Im enjoying this game from its tough and gritty combat to exploring its beautiful monuments and landscapes.

At the very least try the demo, if you like it, your character save will carry over to the actual game if you like it enough to buy it. Pretty sweet deal

Still playing it 14 years later, albeit with a modpack to help the abundant issues that an old bethesda game has.
Still one of my favorite games of all time, still one of the best rpgs of all time.
Play it. Enjoy the Mojave

This is faithfully going to be PC gaming's titular Platform Fighter for the future. Played Rivals 1 since beta, loved it, had high expectations for the sequel, and they more than surpassed it.
We may never get a Melee 2, but spiritually speaking, Rivals of Aether 2 is the sequel that hardcore fans of the genre wanted for too long.
Buy it, play it, learn wavedashing, learn ledge cancelling, become like Mang0 but furrier.

I want my 70 dollars back. Todd's passion project sucked. They stripped away nearly everything that remotely made a decent bethesda game, somehow made such elements even MORE mediocre and outdated than their previous titles, and really tried to pat themselves on the back like they really did something ambitious.
I don't think the next Fallout game, or Elder Scrolls game developed by these guys will be any better. There's too much of a disconnect between the players and the developers at Bethesda.

Go buy No Mans Sky. Hello Games put out a title that hits the ambition the way Starfield WISHES it could be. That game is the real space/planetary sandbox experience.

I had an absolute blast with this game's beta, always playing it by myself or with my friends, it was like the Left 4 Dead 3 we never got, and although the beta's performance was shaky, laggy, or disconnecting sometimes, it wasnt a common enough occurance for me to water the game's experience
Launch day has come, and I've come to find that the launch patch for the game has made performance worse, didn't fix issues within the crafting progression system, and added only a mere handful of missions. The true nail in the coffin, was this game's introduction of Micro-transactions, signifying to me the direction that Darktide will be taking. Another great game that was ruined corporate greed, and failure to deliver promises. Truly awful
