CS:GO Review
Counter Strike Global Offensive is a FPS game which puts you in the place of either a terrorist or a counter-terrorist, or "mercenary", as they are being called by the terrorists. You will be part of a team of which goal varries, depending on the map your have decided to play. In the bomb maps, as a terrorist, your main goal is to plant the C4 (Bomb) and make sure it exploded before it gets defused, while as a counter-terrorist, your main goal is to make sure the C4 (Bomb) will not be planted in time, or if it will, to defuse it before it explodes. But you can also have a different kind of mission, which reverses the gameplay strategy of each team. These maps are the hostage maps, in which as a terrorist you main goal is to "defend" the hostages you have captured, while as a counter terrorist, your main goal is to get those hostages to safety. Both missions can be completed by just eliminating the opposite team, thus, making the game end in less time.

It features a plenty selection of weapons, with a few being pistols, rifles, snipers, and bombs. Each weapons has its own stats, which affect the damage output, the movement speed, the attack speed, etc. This adds a varration to the weapons someone can get, as well as giving the chance to counter certain weapons. The gameplay of the game is pretty simple, and almost bugless. One can play the game against bots, people, or a mixure of those two. There is also a big variaty of maps, of which Dust II (2) is the most popular. There are also three kind of modes of which you can choose:
- Casual, which is the normal type of gameplay, which ends when a certain amount of rounds has been won by one of the teams.
- Deathmatch, which allows you to instantly ressurect after you die, which ends after a certain amount of time has been passed.
- Competitive, which allows you to compete with the rest of the community, thus, giving you the ability to have a certain rank, and playing with a limited amount of players (5 in each team). It follows the same rules as the Casual mode, but has some limitations, like a one-strike weapons called Zeus x27.

Lastly, there is one extra official mode, which originates from CS1.6, called Gungame, which allows you to play a FFA team-based game in which when you kill an enemy you are awarded with a certain weapon, and after a certain amount of kills, you end up with the golden knife, with which you have to kill someone in order to win the game, as an individual. Sadly, Gungame is the only special mode which was made, while other modes like Deathrun, Hide 'n Seek and Surfing were probably considered way too unrealistic to be part of this game, but you can still play them as unofficial modes, like in CS1.6.

Unfortunately, the servers are 64-tick'd, which means there is way more time to send and receive data to and from the servers, unlike older games of the series. This leads to hits not being counted and other little problems, but pretty much nothing that will make you hate the game.

The game cannot be considered extremely realistic, but most of it is, thus, making it a really nice game in which you can past your time. Sadly, like most games, the community has a lot of players with a bad attitude, or... hacks. Thankfully, you can report these people.
