"Dishonored" Review:
-----------------------

Dishonored is personally one of my favorite games ever so you might wanna keep that in mind while reading this review.
Where can I even start? This game has one of the best ever gameplay mechanics I've ever seen in a video game and I could actually compare it to Dying Light which also has very well done parkour mechanics.

Gameplay is smooth and although the levels are semi-linear and you have some assassination objectives to do, the game gives you tons of options to approach your target and choose your own style of play. You could go in guns blazing and kill every living thing you see in your way or you could go with the stealth way which I really recommend because of how well done it is.

You have tons of ways to complete your objectives and also you can even finish the game without killing a single person if you'd like to go with that approach.
Overall I find this game very unique and it really catches your attention.

I find the story good although I haven't completed it yet because I'm really taking my time trying to get everything in each level considering a lot of notes and characters hold some of the in depth story of the game, but I'm sure it won't disappoint me in the end.

I also have to give credit to the level design and the soundtrack which really helps the player feel the atmosphere and the vibe of the city.

Honestly the only small problem that I have is that sometimes the guards seem to get bugged sometimes and keep making turns when they're not supposed to but really i'm not even bothered by that.

9.5/10

- Years passed, I moved countries and got a shitty laptop from school, bought the game on steam, played it halfway through (with beyond potato graphics :dsmagic: I'm talking some real config editing graphical downgrade) and left my review. The reason I didn't finish the game before i left my review was that I was just in a hurry to leave a review tbh lol. Looking back at it, my review could've been constructed better but it was all from the heart. I knew I was so in love with the game and felt so accomplished to finally get my hands on it that i was like fk it let might as well write my review now. I finished the game 4-5 times (with the same potato graphics, that's how much i love dishonored) after i left the review and even got the outsider's mark tatted on my hand in 2021. I'm back playing it again to play the dlcs since I never came around to do that, but on my 4070 ti this time

I know I'm hella late to reply but thanks homie, I appreciate it. Me and this game go way back. The thing is that I got the CD from a classmate of mine long ago, I installed it and was bedazzled (also kinda scared lol, the prison section had me walking 1m p/h) It was all so new to me and had me hooked straight away, however I didn't get far in the story since I was a youngin and didn't speak fluent english at the time (it's not my mother tongue) so I got stuck a lot. Time came for me to give the cd back but for whatever reason, I had to uninstall the game (i think i didn't have enough storage) so I borrowed the CD again, but this time no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the game to properly install. The game remained as this mysterious thing in the back of my mind and I made it my mission to play it someday in the future again.

Good review. I found it strange how you said how this was one your personal "favorite games ever," even though you didn't finish the game. But I'll let that slide. I, on the other hand. AM A HARDCORE FAN OF THE FIRST DISHONORED!!! Seriously, I love this game too much. If you don't believe me, I made a video about Dishonored 1 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpAj6e5kVL8&t=732s

If you love Dishonored 1, play it's expansion packs "The Knife of Dunwall," and "The Brigmore Witches."
To me:
Dishonored 1 is heroin, and then those expansion packs are cocaine.
