CS:GO Review
REVIEW UPDATE Dec 2015

I'm a big fan of this game and its competitive mode. It is unique among other fps games. However after having over 650 competitive matches won and almost 2000 hours on record I must say that the game is totally ruined and barely playable.

The biggest problem are HACKERS. Especially at higher ranks in almost every competitive game there is a cheater. It became common that during warmups players check the enemy team profiles, looking for new accounts, exicting VACs, comments etc, to determin whether it will be a fair game or it is already gg wp.

Both anti cheat systems, which are the VAC and the Overwatch seem to be ineffective. They either do not detect paid/private cheats, issue delay bans (which give hackers days of undisturbed fun), or can be fouled by players who know how to hide their cheats. I even came to a conclusion that to be overwatch-banned you must be a littlebit dummy. Without something as obvious as killing trough objects or smoke, staring at other players trough walls or having aimlocks your demo will not be determined as "beyond reasonable doubt" and you will not be banned.

Also the community seems to be unaware of this situation. Many brain dead players claim to not see hackers for months or they repeat some cliché term "smurfs". Personally I think the vast majority of those "smurfs" are players having their main accounts vac-banned/overwatched or they have multiple accounts to play 1 game daily with premades to bypass the overwatch. Why? Because mostly they have silver movement, they throw bad smokes/flashes or even play without them and the same time they seem to have amazing accuracy and always perfect positioning.

There is also no option to leave a competitive match so legitimate players are either tortured for 30-40 minutes by cheaters or if they rage quit they are 7 days banned. Valve forgot that a video game should be entertaining not painful. And there is very little done to improve if anything. As a matter of fact this situation may be even profitable for Valve. Cheaters buy new copies of the game on sales literally in bulk, they have fun for quite a while to be eventually banned by overwatch investigators, free Valve workers, who have some hopes for the game. And the cycle repeats. It is going to repeat as long as players buy skins, open cases like some nobs. You must at least stop doing that + put the pressure on Valve on the forum demanding a fix. Trust me, as soon as Valve realizes they lose real money because of the hackers they will fix both VAC and overwatch.

Cheers.
