Oh I know that much about trading, but with the lightning spell I was relying on a delayed first hit to combo the 2nd. Also it's difficult to just hard-react to an attack like dual lance crouch poke, especially with crouch cancelling. I'll get there, hopefully.

try not to trade with dual lances you will lose the trade bc of counter damage, avoid panic rolling too and try to use the safest attacks out of your moveset
