The overwhelming mass of people that have explicitly explained how awful everything is since epics take over has left me seriously questioning the game developers. This game before it went free to play had
~Easy Main Menu/Very Effective.
~Active Trading Community.
~Crates( which every time a new one dropped it was a big deal).
~More reliable servers.
~Developers that listened to everything players said.
~Easier Friend Group UI.
~Better Home screen (performance wise)
~All items were from events (that you chose to do by spending your redeemable's) or crates.
~Better Inventory system.
Now epic has joined in on this game and did its bid.
we now have:
~Complex and super ineffective main menu ( It takes 9 buttons just to queue a casual 2s game)
~The Trading Community has almost died completely because nothing is worth anything anymore. Since epic took crates away, no item is really rarer than the next. You just wait for it to come into the "Store" if you want it. So instead of spending $1.49 on a crate key and maybe getting a wheel worth $100 plus, All crates turned into "BluePrints", which automatically show you what you got. Not only does that take the fun out of then entire "items in rocket league", they then take these items throw them into a store and then give them a fixed price. This idea is cool, IF they didn't take away everything else to do it. The only way you'll get items is if you spend good money on the game, and at that point you can't get any thing better cause everything cost the same amount. Extremely poor execution, to which the ENTIRE community also agrees with.
~ Crates that are no longer apart of the game for an extremely poor reason. The reason given was that it was to stop gambling, and that it was a trap and it was unfair for the players. Anybody who has a debit card linked to their computer RUNNING A GAME ON UNREAL ENGINE, PROBABLY UNDERSTANDS WHAT THE INTENTIONS WERE FOR. I can't speak for the console community, i understand that parents do sometimes get charged for stuff like that by a child that wasn't monitored. In all actuality, if that was the reason for doing it, then it contradicts everything you guys HAVE been doing by not listening to anything the community has said in over a year.
~Before the game went Free-To-Play, the community was about 150,000-300,000 players at any given time. After it went Free-To-Play, the numbers quickly went over 1,000,000 and are still climbing. If they did all of this stuff for the good of the game, why would they not make sure the servers were prepared for something like this? Epic is more than capable of making it happen and every game epic has been apart is pushed down every ones throat so its not like its an oversight. Its just incompetence, from the developers and the publishers. The game on Valves "Steam", is so latency ridden and under performing it was almost unplayable for a week after the update. You know what fixed all of that though? If you went over to epic and played the game through epics launcher, Which I don't know i single person on this planet that doesn't have a problem with that launcher every single time they use it. Its slow, glitchy, laggy, counter intuitive, and has awful customer support.
~Before we had developers that listened, if we wanted new cool wheels in the next crate. WE GOT NEW AND COOL WHEELS, AND MORE. If we wanted a map to be taken out of the map pool, IT WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE POOL. If the community of "Rocket League" wanted anything at all, we would literally get it and with a kiss on the forehead and all it took was a tweet on twitter or a review left on steam that had enough backing. Now everybody has been screaming
*Don't Sign With Epic
*Don't Take Away Crates
*Change The Ranking System
*Don't Go Off Steam
*Change The Trading/ Inventory System
*Add New Maps Like Mannfeild And Base Model Maps
*Fix the servers (they were pretty bad even before Free-To-Play)
*Don't Let The Game Be Free

What we got:
* Signed With Epic
* Took Away Crates
* Changed The Ranking System, But Didn't Change The Awful Name.
* Went Off Steam
* Trading Got More Confusing. (i have over 2000 items i can't trade, throwaway, or delete.)
* No New Maps
* Servers Got Worse
* Game Went Free-To-play
There is an extremely obvious lack of care coming from the developers about the people who have spent days upon weeks and some even months of their life playing this game. I have 4500 hours in steam on this game and that doesn't include my PS4 Account or the other 3 account I did have on PS4 or the 5 or so account I had on xbox since season 3. Its extremely frustrating watching a game ive put so much of my life into, get ran to the floor because they want to get more players.
Well they got more players but they lost the people who were here from the start on the way, I personally know over 10 people who have uninstalled this game on steam and don't even own the epic launcher, who have no interest in playing this game through epic because of the way the developers and epic have handled this. I understand that 10 people is nothing to the over 1,000,000 people gained, but you're not suppose to change the game for the newcomers, you change it for the people who are experienced in the game and can tell you what needs to change. For instance back in I think season 3, the menu to queue a game was in the top right hand corner and had every game mode in one box open for everyone to see, you checked which game mode you want to queue into, and then you hit search. Simple but effective, never did that need to change. Now we have an inventory system that feels like a bunch of drawers, they took the queue from the home screen of your phone and then put it in the app drawer that you can only get to by swiping through all the other pages first then you have to find the app in the drawer. Its pointless, it takes 10 buttons just to create a private match, where as it use to take 6. They also added single selection which not a single person asked for by the way. I have over 2000 Items that i can't trade,delete, throw away, or get rid of in any way. GET THIS... THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THEM NOT APPEAR IS TO "ARCHIVE" THEM, SO I HAVE TO MANUALLY CLICK 2000 ITEMS ? That's genuinely awful .... This game went from my favorite game ever to just rocket league. I wish that this would bring light into the situation but i know that it won't, ive already stated that the developers dont listen, and i mean they dont. Ive tweeted at them, Dm'd them on instagram, Left comments on instagram that got many likes, reddit aswell. Not a single response for some one with 4500+ hours in this game and in their top 5000 or so players.

your items get tradelocked if you go from one platform to another, PS4 to PC for example. this is so that they dont entirely ruin the trading economy as well as making trading complicated and glitchy.

when the game went free to play, all the items that a player had in their inventory were locked, there were a few select items that werent locked but for the most part 90 percent of my inventory was locked and trade banned.

I know im really late to the party with this review, but what items do you have that are not tradable anymore? I'm really confused with the 2000 items not being tradable statement.
