FNAF 1 is still an okay game but I cannot recommend this to people or horror junkies who are looking for a true survival horror experience.

At first, one would think this game has it all. Jump scares. Creepy enemies. Creepy atmosphere. All in one package. But it does not live up to be a true horror experience. The main problems are that the main character only stays in ONE spot and the jump scares are EXTREMELY overused and repetitive which are not what I am looking for in a horror game.

I still suggest this game for people (casuals) are who being introduced to the horror genre of gaming and who are interested in playing horror games for the first time though. FNAF is perfect for those kinds of people. Not the horror junkies or people who want to truly experience the survival / psychological horror genre such as System Shock 2, Layers of Fear, Phantasmal, Silent Hill, Dungeon Nightmares II, etc..

And about the FNAF fanbase... Well, let's not go there.

Whoa. What a huge surprise. This game is one of the better puzzle games I have played in a long time. If you are looking for a hidden golden gem buried along with thousands and thousands of games in the store, this is one of them.

The graphics are very gorgeous, futuristic, and minimalist all at the same time which gives you a feeling of calm and peace. Awesome.

My favorite part of this game is that it gives me a feeling of being a foreigner in a very unknown and confusing world. The confusing and foreign texts are well done that they really made me feel like a foreigner struggling to find a way out of an unknown country.

Now, how are the puzzles? The puzzles in general are very well done. Sometimes they require plenty of second thoughts and deeper thinking as the puzzles get harder and harder. The awesome combination of blue/orange trigger weapon, jumping platforms, and large trigger objects that changes the dimensions and gravity is insane fun. That was what I was looking for when I bought this game.

Basically, this game is a baby of Fez and Portal. If you like those games a lot, you will like this game without a doubt.

Still blows my mind how criminally underrated this game is. Solid puzzle game.

This game is VERY unique. Very unique. But it is not for everyone.

If you like unusual, ugly, trippy, mindf**king, and creepy games like LSD: Dream Emulator, then this game is for you. If not, immediately look elsewhere.

Anyway, this game has a lot of unique and creative ideas you often don't find in other games. You take photos of people and things around the village to find information and secrets about everything going on in the area. You end up finding and being in situations where you will say "WHAT THE HECK" to youself and develop uneasy feelings about everything. The atmosphere, espeically the busted and ugly graphics, was made to portray uneasiness and creepiness. It works really well for this game, because you will be taking pictures of people and things without permission which obviously makes you a creeper to others in the game.

Overall, a good low budget game with a nice story made for fans who like extremely creepy and trippy stuff.

Finally, a game that knows how to use jump scares properly in a terrifying atmosphere. The devs did a good job making the jump scares very unpredictable and creepy as heck. Their patterns and noises will make you scared poopless and be much more cautious taking correct steps at every corner.

So, the game does not look super shiny or eye candy but it does not mean the game is bad. Just like the two famous sayings that sum up this game: "Never judge a book by its cover." and "The game is bad it's good."

Overall, the game is pretty good. But perfect for an absolutely terrifying horror game.

The first F.E.A.R. is an absolute classic. Everyone must play this game at least once because in my book, this game is one of the best games ever made.

Its atmosphere is its greatest strength and the devs absolutely nailed it. The whole atmosphere of the buildings, offices, corridors, lighting, level design, enemies, and sounds perfectly creates a great feeling of DREAD, ISOLATION, and FEAR that keeps you on the edge and hooked to complete the game. Its atmosphere was way far ahead for its time and it still currently holds up as one of the greatest atmospheres in video game history along with Bioshock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and Layers of Fear.

Another huge plus about this game is the A.I. of all the enemies. They are one of the best programmed and intelligent enemies I have ever seen. The combination of the A.I. and bullet time manipulation is insanely bonkers which provides you some of the greatest gameplay experiences in gaming.

The execution of using sounds and music with the action and well-written story was perfectly well done which gave me a tremendous feeling of terror. I cannot figure out how the heck the devs managed to do this part so well. You need to play this game to fully understand that.

Overall, the game is a must play and is my second favorite game of all time.

Early Access Review:

This game was a huge surprise. Even though it has a lot of bugs, it is now my one of 10 favorite horror games of all time. Coming from me as a huge horror junkie, that is a HUGE praise.

The mixture of ultra creepy atmosphere, stealthy roguelike, unpredictable procedurally generated environment, and extremely scary creatures delivered a true and awesome survival horror experience.

After each time I die, the floors are not same as the last one at all. Well, the rooms are similar but the pathways are always different which give a lot of repayability and unpredictable results. Amazing.

The creatures are extremely creepy, smart, and not to be messed with. At first, I was thinking, "I can plow through the game killing all the monsters and running. Yeah no problem." He he... Well no. Never happened. Each time I do that, I die immediately after 20 seconds. The monsters are very mean. The game requires a lot of stealth, careful planning with the guns (with very low ammo, use it wisely!), flares, keys, and a very small amount of health packs, and confidence. You will NOT want to see the huge monster right before you die ever again.

My most favorite part about the game is the atmosphere. It is really well done. It is so creepy and gives a lot of goosebumps. I can't spoil it any more. Buy it and find out!

The only problem I have with this game is the bugs. That's it. I highly expect the devs to iron out those bugs right before releasing this game officially. If they do that, this game is going to be one of the best survival horror games within the same tier as Outlast, Amnesia, Silent Hill, and System Shock 2.

I cannot find enough words to explain the embarrassment I have for wasting an hour of my precious life for this game... Give me three minutes. ... ... ...

Okay. This is the worst F2P game I have ever played... Oh wait... It's not free to play. It's frickin' Pay 2 Win. Uninstall this game immediately and don't look back.

I feel like I need to explain the big frustation and disappointment I have for the current state of the F.E.A.R. franchise. In fact, I am a die-hard F.E.A.R. fan. The first F.E.A.R. is actually my second favorite video game of all time because of its story, creepy atmosphere, and brilliant A.I.. It takes a special place in my heart. Then, F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin came out 4 years later. It wasn't as "insanely incredible" as the first one. But it still delivered with its amazing atmosphere, satisfying plot, and gameplay. So the sequel was pretty good though...

Then Monolith decided to sell the F.E.A.R. franchise to Warner Studios and Aeria Games. So after that, F.E.A.R. 3 came out... In my opinion, it turned out to be the worst sequel in the video game history. F.E.A.R. 3 is an absolute mess. Horrible graphics, horrible story, horrible gameplay, horrible atmosphere... Everything in F.E.A.R. 3 is horrible. Now, we have this "F.E.A.R. Online" thing... What is this thing? It is the dagger that completely shattered my future hopes for the F.E.A.R. franchise. The franchise is now dead. Thanks to this game. Very very very disappointed.

They need to stop making any more F.E.A.R. games. The only way for this franchise to return to its golden days is to allow a critically acclaimed video game studio to give F.E.A.R. a complete reboot. Yes a reboot just like Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, Ninja Gaiden, etc.. Or just give it back to Monolith to resurrect the franchise. That's the only way. Unfortunately, it won't happen thanks to this stupid game.

P.S. There is a much much much better and more fun F.E.A.R. multiplayer than this frickin' game. It's called "F.E.A.R. Combat". It's FREE. Yes, FREE! Just type in "FEAR Combat" in Google. Boom. Then, go to their community website, get a free CD key and download the game. Be sure its version is 2.0 or greater. It's so easy to install. Easier to install than F.E.A.R Online... The FEAR Combat community needs more people to play. Don't play this game and go play FEAR Combat instead. You are welcome.
