Overall:
Great art—as in true art, not that "forcing you to upgrade your computer" type of visual trash.
Great amount of content. This game is like 3 Dark Souls 3s in size, if you count all the side quests and dungeon locations.
Good storytelling. The epic background story is solid, but the endgame feels kinda rushed.
Great gameplay mechanics and combat design. By adding more freedom to customizing Ashes of War and letting you jump in combat, this game has more variety than the Dark Souls series.
Great level design. If you want that Dark Souls 1 or 2 vibe, this game got tons of dungeons—some of ’em’ll make DS2’s Gutter look like a piece of cake. Highly recommend.
Reasonable hardware requirements and minimal bugs. In my many playthroughs, I never ran into any seriously game-breaking bugs that stalled my progress. Just some wonky hitboxes here and there, nothing major—no bad lag or random FPS drops.
My only critique:
It might not be ideal for people trying to get into Souls-like games, ’cause there are some broken OP crutches out there, lol.
