Colonial era is now a wash because all your workers keep dying at an alarming rate.
Disease doesn't go away UNTIL cure is found which can only be found in the World War era.
Not only is this not realistic but it's game breaking and poorly balanced. Kalypso is a very lazy company.

It's fun when it works but Denuvo means you're gonna get CPU-raped and the day/night system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible until you get a car the game arbritarily says blows past all the rubberbanding cop vehicles. Also whoever thought of drift events at night with traffic should be fired.

The combat can feel a little jank and frustrating at times but this one is definitely something special. There's elements of Dark Souls, Jurassic Park: Trespasser, and Metroid. The artstyle is an amazing way to have density in the map design, and the pseudo-Viking element is novel. Definitely a good game to play while high or tripping, if you wanna feel like you're going on a mystical adventure.

As far as I can tell, there's a bug where in every game your support will drop to rock bottom despite a positive treasury, and average happiness. There seems to be really major economic chokepoints that the game doesn't make you aware of or is a bug, or something like that, so basically every map becomes unplayable at some point, either due to economics or due to support.

Game has the RE5 problem of it being significantly harder and less fun to play in single-player because it's designed for co-op, but it only has local co-op in the campaign, not online, so it's impossible to play on PC basically.

I want to play it, but it says that it can't find my DirectX device and I can't find any support online.

The only reason people still play this is because no one plays Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood on Game Ranger. This game started out fun but gradually became more of a mess as the "questionable, but cool" decisions started to pile on until they all became bad decisions.

The game gets worse every patch and the dev still can't figure out whether he wants it to be an arcadey style game or some kind of simulator. There are no good loadouts anymore, because you can no longer pick weapons off of the ground after killing them, which is a feature that the hint system still tells you to do. Everything is designed so that you can get one or two kills before becoming defenseless. Maybe this wouldn't be such a problem in team-based modes where the optimal strategy isn't "run straight to the Colt Walker with a hatchet and be the last one to arrive so you can pick off the winner like a vulture," but no one plays those modes. I don't even mind the accuracy system, I think it's unique and cool, but the dev keeps nerfing things until you can't stand out without a team to cover your ass. If you can get the double Walkers it's over.

The game is good, but the matchmaking and port job are not.

Deranking is a bad mechanic and there's barely anymore content than the first game. Otherwise it's fine and I just wish I could give it a meh. Buy it on sale.

Everything outside of the combat system is fine, but the combat system is bad and the bosses feel like they're playing the old games while you ragdoll around. I don't mind losing the other styles as much as the Dragon Style at the start of the game here is just as barebones as when you start using it in Kiwami 1, and even after multiple upgrades it doesn't feel good enough. I'm lacking half of the heat moves I had by default in both Yakuza 1 and 0 and 4, and bats and golf require you to spend way more time than their minigames can remain interesting to get new movesets and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heat move for either of them. Extended minigames like Majima Construction is probably the first actually interesting one in the bunch, meanwhile club cabaret still goes on for far longer than it can remain interesting. Anything that asks for you to pickup weapons is a joke. I hope you like an enemy kicking a barrel 30 miles which hits you for 1HP and causes the weapon you're holding to break. Bosses are still arbritary, constantly countering you or dodging, which breaks your lock, and Kiryu has worse tracking than older games. At least you can grab them sometimes now.
