A remarkable improvement over the first game, with simplistic but satisfying gunplay.

First things first:
The fact people complain about the gore in this game, which are also more than likely the same type of people who shill Brutal Doom, or any of the new Doom titles is honestly quite ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is the people who actively look at this content and get genuinely upset over it, despite it not being their thing. Look, I get it. You'd be a complete sociopath not to be even slightly put off by it, but at the same time I'm pretty sure this was a deliberate choice by the developer in the first place. If anything, seeing gore in a shooter is something you'd expect to begin with, and I'm tired of people acting like it shouldn't be. But it is nice to see people getting filtered, that's always nice.

Gameplay loop is more or less the same as the first, but it does expand more in the gameplay options department. One being a magazine system (which can be lost if careless), and manually cycling the action on firearms, such as the lever action rifle, pump shotgun, and a bolt action anti-material rifle, but it is also required on an empty chamber. Think Hideous Destructor mod for Doom, but a lot more lower scale, and without the need to become salty in the process.

Level design is much more fleshed out compared to its predecessor, still has a bit of the same blue colored structures and such, but there's more open ended levels as well as more variety to them as well, one such level has you hopping from traincar to traincar, another example is you navigating through an underwater maze while searching for some power sources to destroy.

Doekuramori should most definitely continue on with this series if he so chooses. Never, never, never bend the knee to a vocal minority of people who will never play your game, man. Keep up the good work.

Fair. I see the violence as a way to demonstrate to people just how horrible fighting and dying in a world this bleak must be like.
