It feels very early access like I can see what they're trying but it's honestly a downgrade from previous CIV games. I'd say until they actually finish this game just go play Civ 6.

The graphics are mostly a downgrade (Lighting on some of the models is uhh ehhh, even the main menu is kinda bad ngl).
I do like the alternative to fog of war, it looks cool, but everything else, it's missing a lot of features, for example you can't name cities and cannot have scouts auto-explore (These are due to be added at some point but I ask why if you release a game are they not already there?).

Also I immediately got attacked by barbarians and overrun very quickly which has never happened on previous Civs to me but maybe that's a skill issue on my part hahah

I'm not blaming the devs as such they probably got crunched to hell by an ass CEO who is in desperate need of a second house or something but it's not good.

TL;DR Just go play CIV 6 until they actually finish this one.
