Despite its wacky and frantic-looking nature, Antonblast is one of the most by-the-book well constructed platformers out there. Each stage does something to make itself memorable, and the vast majority of them are fun additions that hit the mark very well while still not intruding too much on the general gameplay loop. It's difficult to put in writing how fun a game is to play, but suffice it to say that it utilizes a relatively small pool of moves in a bunch of different ways very well, and incentivizes replaying stages for the extra secret collectibles utilizing things you learn a you play thorough the game.

There was a time this was a clear recommend from me. It was the game that got me into PC gaming as a whole, but now it is in a state where simply trying to play it is like rolling a 100 sided dice and hoping it lands on that 100, due to all of the bots that appear in waves, slowing the game to a crawl, or even just overrunning servers entirely. It's in a deplorable state, and aside from a few quick fix patches to the issue that worked for a bit, the most Valve has done for this game since 2018 has add a new oil well in the form of a generic yearly summer crate bundle (that was originally advertised as a whole update before being stealthily changed.)

I do truly wish valve comes in and actually takes steps towards dealing with this, but tbh, I'm more convinced they'd shut the whole thing down than actually devote manpower to fixing it. They've known about this issue for a while; this is not ignorance, this is refusal to take any action.

Why does the Jonkler make my chips go up? Is he stupid?

This game will literally dig its hooks into you and make you "one more run" for hours on end. Absolute time waster of all time.

Balatro's Poker leanings pretty much begin and end at "play hands from Poker", from there, it's a unique experience of manipulating your deck to fit with the game-changing Jokers you obtain through the shop so you can play stupidly good hands to beat the blinds

Ittle Dew is a game (obviously) inspired by the Zelda franchise, but with a lot less focus on combat and a lot more around the puzzles, which focus around the different items you obtain. While there's much less items than in a Zelda game, Ittle Dew has a lot of interesting things each item does, and works in combination with other items you obtain in certain puzzles.

While the game proper tends to be a bit easy with its puzzling, the optional cave puzzles for collectible cards and more Scraps of Paper that serve as Heart Pieces in this game tend to be much more difficult, and focus around the one item you just got from the nearby dungeon.

The biggest problem this game has is the combat is absolutely terrible. you stop in place completely when you attack, meaning your enemies can walk away from you or into you while you try to hit them, and the range of your stick/fire sword is incredibly small, meaning you have to be in a near perfect range to hit enemies. this extends to the final boss, which has multiple phases, many of which are strangely unclear, as it rapidly shifts from using the boss' own attacks against them to needing to kill certain enemies to advance and so on. Fortunately, the game very often has health everywhere, and dying basically has 0 consequences (you just start back in the room you were in, only the puzzles reset)

Overall, due to its rather short length, if you just want to get through the game, and not worry about optional stuff, I'd say this is a definite game to get on sale rather than pay full price, as it is rather short without the extra puzzles. It's generally a good game, but one that's a bit clunky at times

It's a decent enough game. It's a bullet-hell-like shooter game with interesting boss fights, and decent mid-end game regular fights, but the early game is kinda a slog with how not challenging or fun it is. This would definitely be a "wait until it's on sale, but still buy it" sort of game for me, full price is asking a bit much considering its length and relative ease compared to other bullet hells around.

Basically, if you like the Collectathon Genre, you will almost certainly love this game. It has everything the collectathons of old gave to people back during their heyday, but does more than just pay lipservice to those games for a couple hours. The game's unique charm and atmosphere make it stand out from any other game I've seen, further supported by the fantastic soundtrack (Seriously, if you're getting this game, do yourself a favor and get the deluxe edition that comes with the soundtrack.) and smooth platforming controls. This is the game I think of when I hear of the term "Modern Classic", being inspired by the games of past, but not completely living in the past.

I regret how long it took me to play this game very much, but I can also say it was worth every second of wait.

Warframe is one of the funnest F2P games out there, with a wide variety of skillsets, weapons and cosmetics, and enemies to mow down in a wide variety of fashions. However, I cannot stress this enough that if you're going into Warframe, YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO . This is a very Grindy game, and you have to put in a good amount of time to get very important progression materials without paying real money for it. There's also a fair amount of waiting involved as most weapons take 12 hours to build without paying and warframes (the word for classes or heroes in this game) take 72 hours. If repetitive content and waiting isn't really your thing, you might like the game less, maybe even not at all.

Now, I know that a lot of the stuff I said sounds like it'd be a negative review, as it mostly says "this game be grindy as ♥♥♥♥, yo" and yeah, it is, I'm not going to lie, there's a lot to grind for, espeically during your progression. But the game underneath the grind is so well-done and lovingly made, none of that matters for a lot of people, myself included. Once you actually get to hold that shiny new weapon in your hands and mod it so it cuts through ♥♥♥♥ like a knife cuts butter, or finish that cool new frame, each with unique powers and capabilities and roles they fill and quirks they have, it's so satisfying. and that's a big thing about the game: satisfaction. It's a huge F2P power fantasy with a weapon progression that genuinely feels like your stuff's getting stronger. Everything about the powers of the various frames you can build and use, the insane amount of weapons to choose and build, the fast pace and almost complete movement freedom and flow makes the game feel so fun to play, even if a lot of the missions aren't really that much to speak about.

I suppose I should address the elephant in the room of "how is its' F2P model"? Well, if you're worried that you'll eventually hit a roadblock where eventually the game soft forces you to pay in order to continue, or that all the super fun stuff is behind paywalls and F2P players only get the scraps, then I'm happy to say this is not the case. Every weapon in the game is obtainable without the need to spend money on it (barring a few extremely rare occurences like console/founders exclusives). Some are harder to grind for than others, to be sure, and sometimes grind will be necessary but eventually you can get any weapon your little heart desires, as long as you can deal with some repetitiveness every so often to make it happen. the only thing outright requiring the in game currency is Weapon and Warframe slots, which sounds like it'd be a massive red flag that you need to blow money on this game or you'll never enjoy it, but thankfully with the trading system, where you can trade things to others for other things, including platinum, you can build a healthy and sustainable amount of platinum without the need to spend a dime as long as you're willing to put the work into it and have an ear to the ground on what people want to buy or what can sell well.

Overall, I can't reccomend this game enough for everyone to at least try, see if you can get into it. It has some flaws, to be sure, and the dev's decisions aren't always the best (and are sometimes rather stupid), but the quality that the game has really shines through. Just be aware of what it demands from you, and I can surely say (for the most part) you won't be disappointed.

AH, Undertale OST. 4-6 actual songs played a million different ways, all of which sound completely distinct. I don't even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ know how that's possible.

Basically, this is really worth the money, even if some of the tracks could be better at looping. If you enjoyed the game, I can bet you'll enjoy this soundtrack as well.

I'm not really sure what I can say about this game that hasn't been said a million times, over a million different ways, on pretty much anything that can write words on the internet. But can't hurt to try, right?

In case you are unaware of this game, Undertale is an RPG that stars a human child on their journey to get home from the world of monsters that exists underground after falling in a hole. The thing with this game, like the description above, is that killing is not required. Every conflict in this game can be resolved nonviolently using the ACT/MERCY menus, which allow you to attempt to make peace with the monsters and make them not want to fight you. Each monster has their own actions you can do, and it's up to you to find out which ones satisfy them enough to leave you alone, as well as dodge their attacks. You can also play it like a regular RPG, where you attack and kill things in your way. From your regular random encounters to bosses, It's entirely up to you whether you play the game Violently or Peacefully, or even a mix of both.

Although, TBH, the mechanics aren't really the best part of this game. IMO, they're okay, but it can sometimes feel really repetitive when you face a ton of battles, as you can find yourself hugging the same monster constantly on a pacfist route. Where the game really shines is the world Toby Fox has created. The world of Undertale has been frequently compared to the likes of the MOTHER Series, and I can see where people might think that. The humor and atmosphere feels a lot like Earthbound/Mother 3, and I believe fans of those games might enjoy this. There are a ton of interesting and loveable characters here, from the ego(and pasta)-obsessed, yet caring and eager to help Papyrus, to the Motherly, overly protective Toriel. There's also a surprising amount of lore for how the monsters function, their history, their weaknesses, what happens when they die, things like that, and some of it even ties into game mechanics, like how you instantly gain health after eating something.

The locations are pretty varied, and they're aided by some incredibly badass themes. If you're interested in this game, I couldn't recommend buying it with the soundtrack enough. There's all sorts of really good themes here, with some nice musical coverage. There's some incredibly badass themes, some sad themes, inspiring themes, ominous themes, and a bunch of other types that I can't remember.

Gotta say, one thing about it that would be kind of iffy is graphics. It's mostly fine, but If the whole "retro" thing isn't your style, I'd say this might not be your thing.

Overall, it's a cute little lovey-dovey game where you can either be Monster Jesus or Monster Satan to an awesome soundtrack and a quirky little universe. I don't think is really a game everyone needs to play, but I DO think it's a game everyone should try if it looks appealing to them. If any of that did appeal to you, there's a demo that can be located here: http://undertale.com/demo.htm . Have a good day.
