I have so much to say about this game, but I'll keep it simple:
Hollow Knight is a Metroidvania made by Team Cherry. It's music, graphics, and gameplay are all perfectly polished and it takes 30-35 hours to complete one of the multiple endings. My only gripe is with how easy it is to get lost in Hollow Knight's vast world. I love the exploration aspect, but even still, Google was (unfortunately) open on my second monitor a lot. Maybe I'm not "hardcore" enough, but it's something to keep in mind. That said, it's worth the immersion this open world game gives you.
I'm not into Metroidvanias, but Hollow Knight has sparked my interest and probably spoiled my expectations for the genre. Good work Team Cherry!
