This is one of those games that it's reputation of being addictive is not a joke or an exaggeration, even when done in a joking manor. If you have even the slightest technical mindset, where you enjoy improving and making something better, this game will suck you in.

Factorio, a game that inspired many like it, a top down factory game where you start small with machines that run off coal or wood, hand crafting essential tools and machines to expand your production until you manage to get to a stage of automation. This is where you find out things become better and faster as you focus less on hand crafting and make a machine craft these items for you. Eventually, you'll find yourself at 4 am, with a sizable factory, fending off the locals while trying to improve your production lines and you still got stuff you wanna accomplish but you gotta go to bed. It's that level of addiction, and I love every bit of it.

You can simply focus on the goals or you can set your own, exploring optional parts of the tech tree, attempting to get some of the challenging achievements, or even looking into some mods which the game supports very well with its own internal mod browser and installer. This game is very expansive and has tons of replay value, I could not recommend this game more!
