Overwatch is by far one of the best multiplayer FPS game I've played.
It popularized the hero shooter subgenre and is still the best at what it does.
The synergy of the heroes (both intended or unintended) and the sheer fun of the gameplay are what kept me playing this game over all these years on Battle.net; regular updates help as well too of course.
It is a very impressive result as the game grew from the ashes of a cancelled game, and since this is Blizzard Entertainment's first First Person Shooter game ever. These devs are true wizards.
The fact that gamers review bomb an objectively great game that is free (without even playing it) is one more proof of how cringe they are 😬. People can complain all they want about the store and BP but it's all cosmetic and it's a FPS so how does it matter in any way? Please tell me about how swell, generous and consumer-friendly are the business models from other F2P games of today. What matters most is gameplay and it is flawless here (and no, your problems with balance has nothing to do with gameplay, it is an entirely different topic).
