Probably one of the best games that has been released in a long time. I love everything about this game. I usually don't have the patience to play long games, but it seems like my patience won't run out anytime soon.
My only complaint though is the insane amount of bugs that occur. I have had so many soft locks and quests simply breaking for no reason at all.
For example, lockpicking and opening a chest in my inventory locks me into a conversation state of some kind where I am unable to do anything, even exiting the game. Quicksave often!
Other than that, the game features a rich story featuring interesting characters, and there is nothing hidden behind a DLC.

Also, as a DnD player, this game feels extremely familiar while also being fresh at the same time.

9/10, would have been a 10/10 without the bugs.

Early Access Review
I have tried this game twice. The game honestly starts off great. Lots of things to do and you need to plan the settlement properly to not mess everything up in the long run. The game drops off hard after the third town hall upgrade though. It starts to feel like I'm just placing building after building to satisfy people's needs instead of having any other need for it. It would honestly be better if we had fewer buildings where each building produced several items like the blacksmith and forge.

Mid-late game I also lose completely the overview of all the resources and events that happen in my settlement. The game shows a ton of warnings all the time regarding issues that are either not important or which it could solve itself. There also seems to be no warning for when buildings use up their heavy tools and stop producing items. I found that out the hard way when my entire industry stopped producing items.

It also seems like the upgrade for level 4 town hall has way too high population requirement. I had all that I needed but I had to wait for random events to grant me more citizens to complete it. Felt awful.

I was unable to play the original game because of the high learning curve. This version fixes all the issues I had with the free release. Amazing game!

It runs at 29 fps and there is no way to increase it. It also for some reason runs on my second monitor and there is no way to move it to my main monitor. It also renders below 1440p where everything that is more than 10 meters from you is just a blurry mess. Probably a nice game, but it suffers from too many technical issues

I really wish "neutral" was an option for reviewing games. This game is very interesting in its own way by trying to create a voxel game inspired in the Dwarf Fortress "genre". It fortunately is able to run on my old GT755M while I'm stuck with nothing better.
I'm a big fan of being able to build upwards and downwards. It's something I have really missed in games like Rimworld. It adds another layer of complexity to the game where you have to plan the fortress layout in three dimensions, which Rimworld for example lacked.

Now, what do I not like about this game? First of all, the 3D aspect of the game sometimes feels very unintuitive. Mining while there is already a floor above makes it hard to actually see which blocks you want to mine. I also encountered an issue where I was unable to build some stairs downwards because some unreachable debris was in the way for the stairs, making it impossible to create a basement in my fortress.
One more thing I dislike is the lack of feedback you get when enemies destroy blocks. In my game, a trebuchet managed to destroy the stairs to my archer tower. There was no sign of damage from the outside, so I spent forever trying to figure out why my archers didn't want to navigate up the tower. A notification saying "Structure destroyed, click here to view" or something would have been very nice.
Also, the game feels very shallow. Again I'm comparing it to Rimworld. A ton of the features in the game are exactly like in Rimworld, but the depth is lacking.

Yes I know this game is in early access and I really hope it improves. It is a game I want to see more of in the future!
